Further to TiB's forum topics thought I would put my hand up to Admin the TS - Vic Country League unless someone else has a burning desire to do it. Let me know if you are interested and we can do the friend thingy. Looks like there there will be some competition with the SA/Power and Ladies leagues taking shape.
As a Wangaratta boy & ex Wangaratta Rovers player, I would love to be part of a Vic Country league Kel
Is Sydenham = Country or Metro?! Guessing that it's Metro, although would like to know for sure before I go blabbing my mouth!
i grew up warragul in gippsland but now live in qld i'm happy to go in a qld league if ther is one or viv country league
Count me in... born in Drouin, spent the first 20 years in Emerald (which was country back then)! Will send a friend request
@Kel. Silverback (my brother) remains in Wangaratta whilst I have travelled further afar. He is keen to join your (soon to be famous) TS Vic Country award winning league. Please save a spot for him if possible. Thanks
Up to 8 plus weazel subject to a ruling on eligibility. Kel (Black Cats), HeavyMen, AndrewW, crew, Bandit, Silverback, Quantum and tolla. Happy to go on a first in basis then if we get enough for 2 leagues can maybe do some rankings and have Div 1 and Div 2 ala the Expats, although probably should worry about filling one league first! oh, and it is August 2011, not March 2012, so we've got some time to get things sorted.
Kel - fantastic mate. Was hoping so much that someone else would pick up the ball and run with it. And you got the jump on Metro! @bandit - Drouin, home of the Abletts and Daisy, is about as country as it gets. Ever hear of a property at Emerald called Mauve Meadows?
If we are going by origin... I haven't lived in country Vic since the 90's. But I 1000's of years of family history there, I was born in Nathalia, and spent most of my time growing up in Mansfield. Played junior footy for Bonnie Doon, and Mansfield. Still definitely consider myself a country Victorian in many ways. But I'm already in the WA league, as that's where I live now. But I'll go in this too if the league doesn't fill up. But I'm sure it will in the end.
TiB - never heard of Mauve Meadows... gather it is a Lavender Farm? Where is it? Ahhh yes, good old Drouin, happy to claim the Ablett's, I'm not so happy to claim Daisy... now that he has joined the parolees at the Westpac centre... if you want to draw a very long bow I lived probably closer to Labertouche... but doubt many would know where that is!
