Newman to Johncock (POD) and then upgrade to Rioli

    OR

Newman to Lids, save a trade and then do the Judd>NDS come finals

I imagine thats how people feel StKthunda, especially if you just got him in or had him in... I dodged a bullet there. Held off on Newman the week he injured himself.. did the same for Shaw .. Phew!

P.S Im a Dirty Dog Supporter - especially the way their playing this year... rebuild time I thinks!

Agree with DC they wouldn't bring him back for one game. The PCL's seem to just hang over the player for some time.

The value of Newman means you can go to almost any other defender. For me Birchall, Suckling, Adcock, Johncock, Bock and Hurn are all an option. Anyone got any thoughts on why one is better than the others?

Would anyone consider Gram a reasonable option?

I'm looking to take the $100k saving and spend it elsewhere

Pros - Saints are going well ATM and are unlikely to rest players, his form seems to be building, is capable of the odd big score and is MPP.

On the Cons side he hasn't been at his best this year, seems a sub candidate and not sure on his job security.

    Blueboy,

I think if you can save a bit of $$ and get a reasonable score out of Gram and then roll that savings into a Mid/Rck/Fwd who will earn you more than the difference, then its money well spent.

    Cheers
