Walesy I think I will still load up in defence and take my chances

But still a few months to go to change my tune.

I'll probably just start with the three premiums. There are too many other players who am uncertain how they will go next season.

Geary is looking extremely fit and according to truesainters has been training with the defenders. When I was at training last week he blitzed the time trials while barely breaking into a sweat. He will be priced very cheaply and with Baker gone there could be a spot for him in a back pocket.

is anyone going to take the punt on grimes again this year?

  5. Looks like you might not be able to start Bock after all sorry Walesy...

  6. So is Scotland the new Gibbs for 2012?
Consistent D/M with good skills and some cheap possies out the back of packs

This article was from the prospectus and highlighted which players were elite in each area. It wasn't overly enlightening except that it had Bachar Houli and Shaun Burgoyne as elite in 'gen def'.

Does this mean that it is likely that they will both be available in defence next year? The prospectus is from chamption data so if they think these players are elite in defence it should be a fair clue as to where they will be positioned in SC. They could both be solid options.

Haha whoops, forgot about that thing. The way my backline is taking shape I might be the first SC team to score 0 in a round!

There's only 3 keepers I have any genuine interest in from the R11 bye group. That's going to make R12 & R13 rather difficult.

Anyone have any idea what Marty Clarke's SC scoring was like before he left?

Think it was 70 80 70 or thereabouts. Will probably be locked in to most teams if he seems like a regular starter by start of season. Anyone know how much $$$$ he will make if he avgs 75?

If he average 75 he will make about $200,000.

    Anyone else considering Heppell?

In his 1st season, he was close to holding his own amongst the top scoring defenders, and he is apparently spending time in mids this year - so should see improvement on that, and bigger, fitter etc as 2nd year...

I plan on having Hep in the team eventually. Just need to find ways to fit him in.

I have Heppell in at the moment but also under consideration for the same slot in the team is Hanley. Both of these guys have similar potential to improve in 2012 IMHO and currently similar $.

Love Adcock cos he was a mid-pricer who worked for me last year. But this year I reckon he's priced about right and won't average any more than that value. Can't have him!!

Is anyone considering Grimes? He burnt me last year and i swore never again but now he has the captaincy, his injury woes may be behind him. If he plays most of the games and floats across half back picking up cheap kicks and setting up play he might push himself up into the top 10 defenders come years end.

Is there any melbourne supporters out there with any thoughts? With davey going back to the forwards, who else plays the half back role?
