@PowderChump :) i think you've spent 24hrs straight at mcdonalds watching nab on their late-night screen!
ok im joking a bit, i like your enthusiastic logic, but im not anywhere near as sure as you that all those rookie rucks will get a game.
remember de-rrockx last year, looked like a few you named, then played about 2 games, scored abt 38pts.

Mind you i LOVE your backline, even tho it is BYE round madness.

granted, jacobs looks likely. i think weve all had some excited ideas at times this preseason, and slowly the GNR wheel rolls back over our fingers, we bow our heads and say: Yes master.

HUN reporting Hawk's Max Bailey out for 3 mnths. This again makes Hale an interesting option for those taking the punt on Rowe. Hale tonned up last NAB game & is capable of kicking goals & will surely get good game time now. He also fits the byes nicely with the last bye. Hale to Roughie at some point also sounds attractive if the big bloke comes back from his injury & finds form, after dropping in value.

IMO capable of getting similar numbers as Kruezer at around the same price. Possibly more sound & less risky injury wise?

i feel like Hale bags 6goals every pre-season and people start imagining he is a gun under the radar? he's alright, granted, but your first choice ruck?

Lowden or Pattison if given an upgrade could be ok bench options in the ruck now.

I'm thinking more Cox/Mummy, R2 Hale, Giles & Redden with Rowe in F9. Would probably only consider if Rowe is named for 1st game. Hale scored reasonably/consistently last year hence his $400K price tag. But it's turning him into Roughie that I'd really enjoy.

With both Rowe and Hale having the same BYE, it negates much of value in their MPP. I am trying to maximise MPP to avoid donuts during what I call the 'Three weeks of Hell' period, so I question the value of having them together BEFORE the bye.

Also Rowe's job security is surely questionable given Carltons ruck stocks this year, even he is named in rnd 1 he might not play again for 6 weeks unless someone gets injured, I like the idea of using him as a downgrade target for later in the season when his 3rd game appears which I hope won't be until round 7-10 or so.

Yet Hale + Rowe share the same bye. Pointless.

Will Billy Longer play many games this year? Looks like he can kick goals.
Could the Berger, Hudson and Longer conceivably play in the same game? I hope so, because I'd love to go with Longer-Cox (Just so I can call them the Porn Stars) with Redden and Giles on the bench.
But I'm also a fool who fielded an entire team of West Australians last year (and a 'B team' of Sandgropers this year as well), so I'm not exactly a Super Coach rocket scientist. ;)

Also noticed that port_leschnault correctly predicted above that Bailey would go down again. Guy's jinxed.

Why pointless p-l?

Hale may well score better than F5,6 & 7. So if Giles or Redden is tearing up the ruck I can have Hales 90 pts in at F6 or F7

14. I think the Pyrite were looking at it in a bye only sense HM, meaning you can't swap them for each other to cover byes, not that as a point scoring strategy it was pointless

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm seriously beginning to consider Kreuzer. I can do alot with the additional $100K+ saved from an elite/premium. With big question mark on Warnock for the start of the year, he could fire early - could he not?
I was burnt last year with Ryder when the Bombers began playing 3 ruck and could not face it if Carlton went down the same path, BUT a break-out is surely on the cards in an improving Blues side.

16. Definitely worth a look WHW, depends on how many other risks you have in your team though I guess. For my team he would need to be the only non-rookie to be under $500k for me to risk starting him. Hopefully with Kreuz as well when he isn't rucking he can play MID from time to time and knock up a few clearances and Inside 50s instead of just resting FWD all the time

Love the newly named Porn Stars ruck combo. Up there with Costa Concordia and Sex on the Beach. Well played AdelaideEagle. Nice.

It looks like everyone will have Giles & Redden,
there's no consensus on the other 2,
the lack of love for Goldstein's puzzling, given his last season domination.
I can't see Mckintosh taking as much from him as many think & why would North want to change the only successful positional structure they have?
Goldstein, Giles & Redden for me,
still unsure of the 4th.

Ok what about Gorringe?

Would love it if Campbell got upgraded at the Dogs to throw something different out there.
