I think Clarke is being harshly treated. Can understand people liking Bugg, Ellis, maybe Morris over him, but to me he clearly stands out against those other names purely on JS and proven decent scoring. 70/80/70 average in 3 years, mature age, Collingwood gave away a decent pick to get him pick, Buckley is a fan etc etc. I'd take 55-60 and a regular game over that other group. There's hardly a Lower, Stanley, Heppell or Duigan in there (from what exposed form we have). Think people were expecting to much for him to just slot in after not playing for 2 years and smash out a score in March trials.
i think clarke will score the best out of all these. if you have the patience with your d9 darley could work out very nicely as im sure he will play his fair share of games throughout the season and score quite well. but clarke is the only name on that list i have any faith in to both play regularly and score well so if money isnt an issue id go with him
I think what we can take from this thread Jason is: a) Opinions are completely split which just shows how confusing rookie selections are this year; b) A lot of people don't actually read a thread before contributing to it; and c) We've all got SC overload stress reaching critical conditions.
I think people are under-valuing Smedts he's clearly a gun and will find it easy cruisin in the cats backline once all their guns are back he was a first round draft pick and the cats have talked him up for 2yrs. nows his time.
Definitely Darley - he'll be back next round for sure - only missed because of his sister's wedding this week. Ask AFL Prospectus - he's a total lock.
Jason, firstly, well done on your tireless work in RMT. For mine, Tomlinson. Supreme athlete, No 9 draft pick so has ability. Has had a good NAB. All that placed together would seem to indicate good JS. Although who knows with Sheedy!? Importantly D/F MPP. Given you intend to trade this selection pre-bye, he'll provide an up or down option in either position.
is this true why darley wasn,t named gary becoz that could be fairly crucial i know i traded him out i will be pissed off if he is back next week!
@chewy - no, sorry mate - i thought after 8 comments it'd be clear i was having fun. i actually dont know why he wasnt named to play but i dont think he had a wedding - i was referring to the Morris case 2wks ago which was on people's minds. and many of us think he WILL be back next week anyway, which is why some still have him in their teams (not many tho)
no worries mate i cant log in to supercoach anyway at the moment so i will just sit back and relax and watch the slaughter !
