A lock for mine, may not be back to his very best but at the least he will score 80's and make some money hopefully
was thinking along the same lines, hopefully he does a petrie of last year and gets back to his prime
Lake or Hargrave? Lake has bigger upside but not the best preseason form, vs Hargrave's impressive preseason? Preseason form is vital for mid prices selection IMO but is lake the exception to the rule? Thoughts?
Im not so sure on Lake. I have been second guessing myself as he has been so popular in the teams ive seen, but I dont have him in my team and I think im gonna keep it that way. I do have a feeling I will live to regret it though.
I'm trying to avoid 2 many mid pricers a it's always been a death sentence but this year it's looking tempting to have a couple, but can't carry both lake and hargravesband struggling to split them
Lol @ Jason.. Yeah I missed out on petrie last year don't want to miss out two years in a row.. I'm thinking he may have a slow start but as the year goes on hopefully he gets better
Big difference between Petrie 2011 and Lake 2012 is their start price discount. Lake got a 10% discount in 2012 but Petrie got a 40% or 50% discount in 2011.
When the dollars run out so does the critical judgement. How many people had Grimes locked-in when they had to, against better judgement. Just wait, and when selected go Clarke, Guthrie, Paine or if you must Golby, Dempsey, Smith or even better Conca (this years the Tigers will go ???????).
I've been seeing alot of "lake hasnt had the best preseason form" type comments yet he still pulled out an 89 and 86 in his last two preseason games. If that's poor form then even a medium level of improvement should see him back to one of the premier backs.
So AA are you looking at Lake as a potential keeper at D7 or something rather than an expensive cash cow? I'm passing on Lake and Hargrave as I'd rather use the money to get me a premium which it has. Let's hope Richmond's selection table doesn't force me to reshuffle this come Thursday evening.
