Need to pick you up on some factual errors: 1. In an interview for the Hun this week Williams indicated he was aiming to return for Round 8. Worst case is Round 15. 2. Who the hell is Dylan Morris?

The i/v was yesterday and the "Round 8" return is based entirely on Williams own "belief", not medical advice: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/mor...s-round-8-return/story-e6frf9jf-1226317952846
"It depends on how the shoulder responds to treatment, but I'm aiming for Round 8," Williams said yesterday. Although the surgery was as serious as his two reconstructions on the left side, Williams is ready to push himself through rehabilitation and return at VFL level in seven weeks. "The optimism is just me trying to work my tail off and get back as quick as I can," he said. "There's no hard facts that say so, it's just a belief I can do it."
2.) Dale Morris, although I think you knew who I meant. I stand by original advice, Lake is at best a downgrade target later in the season.
You said "out until at least Round 15", which is clearly not the case. Out until at worst Round 15 more like it. Dale Morris hasn't been ruled out for the season. He is listed as indefinite currently. I stand by my statement that you were factually wrong in your post, which needed addressing.
Okay champ, you go with: 1) a footballer's self diagnosis of when he'll be back and; 2) the belief that a guy who broke his leg 6 months ago and spent a month of that in a wheel chair is going to be back on the park this year. I however will stick with reality: 1) Williams out until Rd 15 2) Morris gone for the season
You should feel free to make up whatever statements you like and call them your "reality". You clearly have already done so.
I parked my car on Barkly St the other day amd climbed up on the hill to watch the boys train and to my sheer delight, watched Morris doing some solid twisting and turning at pace. Im hoping he will be available in the next couple of months and if Williams is able to get back early, Brian may well be able to lift his output. Im going to stick with Lake at this stage. I was at the game on the weekend and he was under the pump a fair bit, didnt really have the support around him and made some dumb mistakes. I realise he hasnt started well but he is capable of averaging 80-90 points a game and becoming a good POD in the second half of the year.
with Jameson and duigan back for the blues bower unfortunately will probably have to go his score of 93 looked very juicy for his price averaging 77 after 2 games... If bower was certain to play every game he would be a great option for lake
No mention at all about Alipate Carlile, that is a bit surprising. Outperformed his career avg, but he has rock solid JS and Port's improved team play may of itself make him a better scorer.
I'm not sure if Lake's output will be affected too much by the potential returns of Williams and Morris. Throughout his years as a premium, Lake generally took the best tall forward anyway - maybe not even week (eg, I think I recall Morris used to go to N.Roo and Williams has played on Buddy) but pretty often from my memory. I would actually prefer him to be on the best forward because then at least the ball comes to him and gives him a chance at those intercept marks and to mop up any spillages. I think one of the reasons he scored poorly in R1 was because all the ball was directed at Kennedy (an intentional ploy by Worsfold as Naitanui confirmed after the game), so he just didn't get near it. I think he would've scored better if he was on Kennedy. He also would've scored better if he wasn't a complete dunce.
Over 3% of coaches dumped Lake before lockout. Now he tons up and i wonder how many people will burn a trade to get him back. Hilarious!!!
Lake's score adjusted up to 110. Dempsey has a delicious BE of -43 with a trip up to the Gold Coast coming up.
Desperate to get Dempsey in the team, but no one to take out :/ Guess its sort of a good problem to have?
Is Dempsey only going well because of the easy run the Dons have had? Is going up against Suns next week, but then Pies and Blues. And the knee? Oh woe.
Essendon played the Kangas in rd1 and they are a bogey team for us...so by no means was our first game an easy run. Dempsey will continue to score well and worst case scenario will score 70s with a rare 60 against the top 4 sides IMO. I am unsure whether I would trade him in now if I didnt already have him. Because in reality Dempsey does come with some risk. I'd recommend trading for Dempsey only if you already had significant problems in the back half.
Could say the same for Lake with the 30 he put out in the 1st roumd. I'm putting Dempsey in and Hargrave out for the simple reason that Hargrave can't seem to move of the 70's
