    Patrick Keane ? @AFL_PKeane
Brian Lake, with five-year good record, can accept one match for striking Tom Simpkin.

    Patrick Keane ? @AFL_PKeane
Adam Goodes, with bad record, can accept one match for rough conduct J Surjan. Jack Grimes can accept one match for rough conduct D Jackson.

Is Grimes / Jackson meant to be the other way round?

Remember there was 2 incidents involving Grimes & Jackson, both in same spot on ground. I would assume its for first one where he did a "sling" tackle.

What are the chances of Goodes accepting the one match ban?

Jackson very lucky he wasn't cited. He'd been slung by Grimes earlier in the game and then ensured he locked arms with Grimes later in the game and threw himself backwards so he'd land on Grimes and hurt him.

I'm a Richmond supporter and seeing the incident live, and on replay, its as clear as day in my mind that Jackson wanted to extract a little payback for the earlier (and stupid) sling tackle. Didn't mean to knock him out cold, but definitely meant to do a square up if you ask me.

Lake, Goodes and Fyfe, got coverage with D.Smith and Mohr or Ellis at least, Fyfe will need to be traded. Goodes very harsh to get a week for that, Lake should accept the week.

Goodes should not accept the ban at all. Sliding in for the ball but where the opposition's head was nowhere around, I'd say is fair game. You'd see it 3 or 4 times a quarter. Media beatup.

like your thinking Lucas and hope Goodes has a successful appeal. Especially as, like AA, I have Lake, Goodes and Fyfe.

My fond hope is that Goodes appeals and is successful and that Fyfe's shoulder by miracle heals itself. Fingers crossed but not holding my breath.

I disagree with Goodes. He was lucky no greater damage occurred hence only a week (wish it was 2 so he missed the Hawks). He went sliding in with his knees rather than just on his knees. If players keep doing it then sooner or later someone breaks a leg.

  17. I only saw the footage twice on the weekend but from what I can remember Goodes and Surjan both did the same move going for the ball, Goodes was just half a second slower. That shouldn't be worth a week IMO

They'll appeal. Goodes is due to break club record for games. They'd like to do that at the SCG.

Besides, free kick yes, suspension, no.

Goodes set to appeal, hopefully he gets off as it is a nothing charge.
