Fyfe starting as sub? No point in that at all... May as well not even play him!

If anything he will be subbed later in the game if Shoulder playing up.

I'm thinking Hayes, Masten, S. Selwood or Ziebell. They should all increase in value the next few weeks while Fyfe is only going down hill in the short term. Masten and Selwood may have overachieved due to their early draw. Ziebell maybe too early to call. So, Hayes looks like best option to me. He should end up in the mid $500k mark if he keeps scoring this consistently. Opportunity to make some cash really.

Masten will continue to rack them up with Pridis and Embley out. However if making the trade i'll probably be taking JPK.

Don't think Masten is over achieving, finished last year off with a bang , and at the age of 22 bout to hit his prime, not sure he will reach elite status but can see him finishing the year off with a 115 ppg average. Scott Selwood on the other hand he might be but the Eagles are going win alot of games this year, both could be MASSIVE pods.

My problem with Fyfe is I have no mid link so it has to be a forward, ATM I'm leaning towards Jordan Lewis, think the big Tip is way toooo risky .

Also I wish Freo will just get him fixed up, I actually want him to not play and miss a while so I don't doubt myself keeping him in or trading him, especially if he keeps playing and can't reach his potential further dropping in value, how many people are trading Fyfe if he is announced fit for Fridays game?

    Looks like he might play.

    http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/supercoach-news/fremantle-star-nat-fyfe-is-optimistic-he-will-be-fit-to-take-on-st-kilda-on-friday-night/story-fn88c7kz-1226329915891

Could also be Lyon playing head and selection games.

    6-4 and pick 'em.

keep close to a computer late friday night. hell still be named but that means nothing with Ross SuperDick Lyon. key is his appointment with surgeon. Surely smart advice is to let him rest for one week?

This thread highlights the multiple issues here. In short, IMO Fyfe is now a massive risk.

Wether he play this week or not, if you keep him you now have the biggest injury risk in the game tying up $528k. If he plays anytime soon, I doubt he will be able to go 100% and therefore he won't score like a premium and he will drop further in price.

I have 22 trades left, and I cannot justify dropping a premium as a cash making excercise. Therefore it's likely to be Nroo or JPK in for him. Tippet back half of the season concerns me, so I wont take him yet.

Gary - in terms of resting or not - the issue is what will the replacement likely do.
If the replacement (eg to Buddy) will go down 30k this week, then if you can hold and cop the pain, then probably best to do it.

Worst case scenario is people hold Fyfe and he starts as sub.

Unlikely I must say. If Fyfe is deemed fit, he must play and he must play every game as if he wasn't injured at all. Loose shoulders can be managed, look at Juddy.

If Fyfe is not deemed fit, he's pretty much gone for the year, so sideways trade.

granted, the sub situation has ruined supercoach.
next year 2 subs will be a joke.

What should i do this week with Fyfe?

Im fairly certain he must go for me now, too much risk and i cant afford the young man to go down in a few weeks again and be ruled out for the season costing me extra money making it difficult to sideways to another premium if need be. So my question is, what path should i follow? At the minute i traded in Stanley(St.K) for Fyfe, collecting extra cash for me to upgrade a rookie the following week to Murphy in the mids. Does this sound alright? Or would i be better placed sideways trading Fyfe for say Roughy,Saint Nick etc???

Wondering the same thing myself NumberWonGuns. Too many options. For a sideways, I like Roughy, but I think going down to Stanley and upping a mid to a premium is the way to go.

No I just got to decide, get rid of Ledger and Bring in Barlow or get rid of McCarthy and bring in Murphy!

I really wish they would just put Fyfe out for surgery, it would make it a lot easier for us!

Uncertainty and doubt are the bane of Supercoachers. In a sense Fyfe is like Broughton....keep him and have sleepless nights or suck it up and hope for the best.
At least if Fyfe is dropped for the season the indecision goes away but the loss of a valuable player and trade is always a bitter pill to swallow.
In the end it's what best for Fyfe but I wish the uncertainty would go away.

I'm in Perth, local radio says he saw a specialist here today who gave him the all clear after training the house down, he's getting a second opinion from a specialist in Melbourne tomorrow. Looks like he'll play, only question is how long until his shoulder pops again?

@Chicko - I am in the same boat as you. Have been reading comments all week and still cannot decide whether or not to keep Fyfe and if not, who do I trade to. Last week with Broughton was a no brainer - you do not trade premiums after 2 bad weeks but Fyfe is different, he could be gone for the season in 10 minutes. Decisons, decisons, the joys of supercoach.
