good afternoon all, here it is! The TOTR for Round 4... I've said it a couple of times now, but it's getting harder and harder to get in under budget each week. Also, this is the first time (for 2011/2012) that the TOTR has failed to pass the 3000 mark. Is it just me or the overall scores a bit lower this year? Last year's 2200 pass mark is now 2100? Anyway, to score 2970 you needed this combo: MacKenzie - WCE - $325,200 - 130 Thompson - KAN - $449,200 - 125 Enright - GEE - $477,600 - 120 Hanley - BRI - $421,100 - 118 Duffield - FRE - $415,200 - 116 O'Brien - COL - $393,100 - 114 Hargrave - WBD - $292,400 - 110 Rockliff - BRI - $585,600 - 334 (c) Stanton - ESS - $573,100 - 161 Selwood - GEE - $604,000 - 144 Kerr - WCE - $436,800 - 138 Parker - SYD - $305,100 - 128 Sloane - ADE - $477,800 - 125 Hudson - BRI - $453,500 - 112 Giles - GWS - $211,000 - 106 Dahlhaus - WBD - $386,100 - 149 Power - GWS - $450,500 - 131 Crameri - ESS - $469,600 - 131 Tippett - ADE - $445,300 - 126 Christensen - GEE - $349,800 - 123 McGrath - BRI - $363,000 - 116 Pearce - FRE - $343,000 - 113 bench of $94,700 no-namers with $14,400 in the bank. The original TOTR came in $1.3m over budget (score of 3023) so the following players have faced the squeeze of salary cap pressure: Suckling - HAW - $483,000 - 120 Ablett - GCS - $708,000 - 134 Pendlebury - COL - $668,900 - 134 Sandilands - FRE - $602,800 - 121 Cloke - COL - $511,000 - 126 Special mentions to these blokes for repeat appearances: Kurt Tippet - ADE - third mention and second consecutive! second listing for the year: Crameri - ESS (consecutive) Dahlhaus - WBD Duffield - FRE (consecutive) Pearce - FRE (consecutive) (big improvement since he saw his name on the round 1 WTOTR!) Stanton - ESS Thompson - KAN I only had two make the 'budget' list (Bugg & Giles) or three on the 'premium' list (Suckling, Ablett & Pendlebury). The weekly winner (For Fox Sake - 2449) had 6 players make the squad. I know I say it's no use chasing last week's points but repeat appearances by Stanton, Dahlhaus and Tippett have got me thinking and assessing... All the best for your team. kind regards, The Silverback
3 for me. Hargraves, Duckwood & Giles (GAJ & Sandi removed from list) Been a week or two since you've fired a shot in my direction Silverback. I'm getting nervous!
not talking to you Heavy. do you want to explain your dirty trick last weekend to the TS community or will I? you know, the dirty trick about when you have a head to head battle with your dear brother and you 'kindly' pass on bogus info about Hale being a late omission to him. Said brother then foolishly trusts this advice, puts Hale on the bench and then loses the head to head battle... good day to you.

Quote from walesy on April 20, 2012, 14:29 Just thought I'd sneak this little tidbit in here, without making it too public... But I'm hearing that it's lucky you don't have with Birchall or Hale, with a late replacement of McCauley and Boumann on the cards...
I remember you saying "I'm under the pump", is it reliable info? Maybe you should look at your priorities Silverback? A little imagination (like your older Brother) would have seen Hale ON field covered by your emerg. thus giving you the best of both worlds. Anyway let us move on & enjoy the game. PS Appears SJ paid off the jury & is available to play (Well bugger me! Here I am, still passing on the "good oil"). PPS Hope you haven't already traded him after I sent that txt saying he would miss a week!!
damn you Heavy! I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place (not unlike that time when you sat on me to ensure I couldn't get the last donut)... anyway, I digress... you quote Walesy as the reliable source so I either have to label our great leader as unreliable (not a good career move) or accept your info and the consequences of my own actions (also an unacceptable option)... hmmm... I dislike this chain of events.
@ Silverback and Heavy Men - Thanks for the laugh. I remember those days with my older brothers. One upmanship at twenty paces. Cheers for the entertainment.
How dare you even mention his name Silverback!! Just as Lord Voldemort couldn't be uttered out loud neither should you call "our chief" by name!
@Heavy! I did not 'start' it... I merely educated you on the use and meaning of PS, PPS, etc. As I explained to you the PS term comes from the Latin 'post scriptum', an expression meaning "written after"... I'd like you to explain to the good folk here at TS how your feeble mind failed to grasp this concept until I put it in food terms. ie. PS = seconds, PPS = thirds, PPPS = fourths (more often than not in your case)
