    Patrick Keane ? @AFL_PKeane

Fremantle has upgraded Lee Spurr from the rookie list as the replacement for Josh Mellington, who is on the long-term injury list.

Gold Coast has placed Jarrod Harbrow on the long-term injury list and upgraded Kyal Horsley from the rookie list as his replacement.

Great news(For Spurr and Horsley anyway). Was asking about Horsley in another thread. Is he any chance of getting a game soon?

When a rookie gets elevated it seems 95% of time they'll play that weekend. Otherwise no point in elevating them as it costs them $$$$ to spend time on senior list

So Horsley straight in for Harbrow it seems?

    Mature-age rookie
    Played 89 WAFL games
Won Subiaco's Best and fairest last year
    Came second in Sandover medal

"Can play in defence but is an effective inside midfielder with a long left foot kick and is ready made for AFL football"

I liked the look of Spurr in the pre-season. He would make for a tasty DEF downgrade option - and there isn't too many of them!

That IS good news SKT, as I had plans to have Spurr in my original team. I'm sure I'll be able to downgrade to him in the next round or two, if he comes up to speed. And as far as Horsley is concerned, I hope he has improved his fitness since I saw him last,in their Intraclub game.He was always about 1 metre behind play. But he has ability.

Thanks for the good news Stk. I too liked the look of spurr in the pre season. He should bubble nicely in round 7 when its time for some upgrades!

Big wraps on Horsley during the pre season from memory.

    Great news.

Wonderful news. Spurr's upgrade is crucial given the lack of DEF downgrade targets available.

Would love to make a couple of moves there before the Round 11 GWS bye carnage takes hold.

On a slightly different rookie upgrade note. Does anyone think it is good timing to pop an early downgrade (Greene if not named, or Milera with a high breakeven) for Adam Treloar this weekend?

With about 100k to be had, plus whatever Treloar earns after his 3rd game plus a massive breakeven thereafter for a few weeks at least. Caching?

    Thoughts?

    Mo.
