I've been hanging to do this double upgrade like busting to goto the toilet!! What are your plans if you are on the Double Upgrade train? Mine would be Sideways Sidey with Goodes in the Midfield. Stanley ---------> Chappy in the FWD Line. Hoping at Round 9 I can get Goddard in for Bugg nice and cheap!<img src="http://tooserious.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/lr14c-laws.jpg" />
I think Shiel could go one more week if you have more pressing concerns or options. He scored ok after being released from tagging Ablett for most of the first half. His BE should only be around 50ish and I imagine he'd get that and a bit more against the Lions. But if you don't have many other options then yeah, he's not far off maxing out his value.

I went Masten to Horsely, Bugg to Delidio last week, in preparation for Clarke to Spurr, Magner to Ablett this week, so in a round about way I was getting Masten to Ablett and in a round about way I'm saying I agree with your move
As much as i am tempted to, wont be doing the double upgrade this week. Im thinking bugg to spurr, which will leave me with around 950k in the bank, then shiel to pendles.
Yeah with you hawks, could go the double upgrade but im thinking either bugg/clarke to spurr and then maybe upgrade a forward or i could also turn bugg or clarke into Lake. Not sure yet
Have 200k in the bank and am tempted to downgrade Ellis to a Wilkes kind of player(already have Spurr) and upgrade Devon Smith to Sidey or maybe the other way where I can downgrade Devon and trade Ellis for Shaw. Which one is a better option? To free up cash, might go Redden to Jenkins round 9...
Looking at trading Ellis for spurr then waiting a week for some upgrades, maybe Kennedy or smith to Lewis or shiel or magner to ablett.
Goddard has ripened and has a BE of 76 so I can FINALLY get him into my side. But who to cull? Ellis or Bugg? Each have claims, Bugg - High BE (80 odd), hasn't been rested yet. But plays against Brisbane this week so can easily get 80+ Ellis - his vest-score of 2 means he has a BE of 69, however this is quite reachable. Playing the Bombers he might not make it though. Ellis probably can make another 100k, whereas Bugg maybe has no more than 50k left in him. Opinions please? Also very tempted to swap Hmac out for Cox - but this could be a waste of a trade.
@Dons - I dont see Ellis making another 100k, nor Bugg making another 50! Dont get cox cos nat will be back and cox will start to shrink My rule for upgrades, which i think has proven wise over time, is never upgrade to a player at full price (eg: Sidebottom, Stanton). Always upgrade to premiums who are at their cheapest. This sometimes means you miss a guy... but this is why ablett is not to be bought yet in my mind. When ablett was injured, pendles had dropped to 610, which was as cheap as he'd be for the rest of the year. ablett's 730 made me 120k; i hope without confidence that gaz will ever drop below 700, but if he does, round 14 will suit me.

Bugg's mooing, sure, but I've also got more GWS players than Canberra's got porn shops, so need to let a few go before "winter" comes. And as for young Ellis, he's reached his peak and, well, let's be honest, a. it wasn't that impressive and b. he plays for the Tigers, so no sleep lost over that one. Now to start lining up my ducks in the forward line ... she ain't that pretty right now ... Buddy and Tippett are little more than lipstick on a pig. Gotta' love this game, even if your wife doesn't ; )
Going the double upgrade this week, but am undecided on one trade. Planning to go: Walker - Zaharakis (no brainer) Stanley - Pavlich/Didak/M Johnson Pavlich - seems to be the right trade, premium heavily discounted Didak - great match back from injury, not sure if he will last the season M Johnson - having a good year, but not sure if im paying a premium for him now, also probably better in my backline Any comments would be great
I have got a few options for this week's trades: 1. Out Ellis and Devon Smith in Saad and Heath Shaw 2. Out Devon Smith and Bugg in Saad and Heath Shaw (with 154 000 in the bank) 3. Out Ellis and D.Smith and in Brennan/Wilkes and Sidebottom Which one of these seem like the best options? Any comments would Be great Also to @benstar94 Definitely go Stanley for PAV
Well with all that said my mind has changed and doing the Bugg OUT -----> Goddard IN.(He's just so damn cheap I feel like I'm ripping him off!) Stanley OUT --------> Chappy IN (I've now secured my 4 premiums in the Def, Mids and Fwds Sideass is just too expensive and I'll wait for him to come down in price so I can get that DPP link we all love so much.
