Not likely. Why risk it? Normally 21 days for a hammy, if you can have a few more, then you do.

Buckley kept Thomas back a few extra weeks just because of his own experiences. Coming back too soon ruined his career.

My SC heart says I bloody hope so! As I simply can't afford to offload Swan due to also offloading Murphy.

But my brain tells me he won't play.

Sounds to me like the perfect chance to fit in a trip to arizona and be back fist game after the bye.

So would it be safe to sidways swan out? i have a few crucial league games coming up. I can't afford to have him on the pine if he's out till after bye.

Agree with Lucas, and id be staggered if swan played melbourne in a couple of weeks. A hammy is normally 3 weeks if he comes back in two and tweaks it again theres another 3 weeks on the sidelines. Given the pies will be playing the witches hats in melbourne they would be mad to risk him hes too important a player for them

ok im gonna take an opposite approach and say he's a sure thing to play round 11
and that it was only minor damage - as if any of us would know!

Apparently Thomas was just a minor tweak. Came back 4 weeks later. (Though he may have re-done it at training, who are we to know)

I'm predicting some BIG outs for any team playing Melbourne. Seriously, they are going to go 0-24. GWS are going to rest a few I've heard.

Good, if GWS is resting a few. Then Sheeds, can bring back all the other players he has been resting. I think with Swan, they will see how he goes after a couple of weeks. If he doesn't come up, then out until after the byes.

Barring re-injury I'd reckon that unless Swan "has" to go to Arizona then he will play a softish Round 11 and Pendles will be rested.
