Neeld, you are really starting to sh^t me. You're coaching the worst team in quite possibly the history of the game, standing at 0-9 and staring down the barrel of a totally winless season, yet you refuse to play probably your best young gun. WTF?? Is this some sort of strategy to ensure that no other teams see him play and then try and poach him ala Scully??

Seriously, it's not like you've got a lot of other options out there. Get the kid on FFS.

Couch is being kept in hiding. Obviously he is being stored ready to be unleashed on unsuspecting Melbourne opponents in the second half of the season.
    Should debut in round 12.

Where is Tom Couch - On my supercoach bench!

Agree with gogonz, Neeld has gotta give him a run. Why did they elevate him if they weren't gonna play him?

I agree what more can the kid do? Top 3 every week in the VFL, goals, tackles, heaps of possie's, FFS get him in.

By the why I haven't got him but will pounce once his in!

He might come in for Round 11, saving a lot of SC butts

Melbourne generally put their strongest debutant for a routine Hazing vs Collingwood. I expect Tommy Couch to be no different to Jack Watts.

The 'hes too similar a player to james magner' story is the stupidest theory ive ever heard. Melbourne are so bad it defies belief that he cant get a game.

Had him on the bench and eventually just had to trade him. He was playing well in VFL, the AFL team had injuries, was playing like crap and he could not even make the emergency list. This means

    a) He has been bonking the coaches daughter and has got her in the family way
    b) He propositioned the coach (and I presume was knocked back???)
    c) The Melbourne coaching staff are completely incompetent.

If we had the TU/D options

    TU (a)
    TD (b)

We all know (c) is a given so would have had no need to give anyone the option of disagreeing.

Tom Couch should ask Ryan Schoenmakers what he's doing wrong :D

He's probably been Brock McLeaned in that he's had his papers stamped with "A VFL star, but not up to AFL standard", but bloody hell, Melbourne is fielding a VFL quality team, so why not give him a go?

I dont get the hype around this bloke. Why is everyone so keen for him to play? Ive seen him play once in VFL and ill tell you he wont be great scorer. Butchers the ball like theres no tomorrow. People read to much into VFL stats.

^ That would explain why he hasn't played a game yet

So he's a perfect fit for the melbourne midfield then?
