Andrew Demetriou says AFL wants two byes for players, which would require 18 rounds of 9 games and six rounds of 6 games.

Say goodbye to the game we know and love called Supercoach! No point playing unless they up the benches to 3 or 4 and trades to 30. Even then it will be terrible!

That's going to be a nightmare for the ORFFL fixture. Iamdisappoint.

Why can't they just give everybody 2 weeks off at the same time?

I'm willing to sacrifice the traditional 'last day in September' Grand Final and also happy to have two footy-free weekends during the season in exchange for still being able to play this great game we call Supercoach!

Why not have 18 weeks with 2 teams having a bye ?

What was wrong with the old split rounds? So much easier to manage for SC/DT.

How about 9 rounds of 8 games, 12 rounds of 9 games, 3 mid-year rounds of 6 games - with a bigger bench in SC
