I hear all this talk about the captains loophole whis weekend due to the partial lockout. I do not remember how this works. Please can someone clarify how to use the loophole.
If you have a WC or Carlton player who you think will go big, such as Judd or Priddis then put the VC on them. Name another player not from these teams as your C. If Priddis goes big then you select a non playing captain and name an emergency(if you have that luxury this week!). If he diesbt go big then just name your C as usual.
To take advantage of the loophole you have to have a player you definitely know is NOT PLAYING. If they get named as sub at the last minute and get 6 and you have C on them, you get 12, instead of your VC's score of maybe 200. This round is perfect for it though since you can just use a round 12 bye player like Pendles or Swan, and use an EMG player to cover them if you have one. The difficult thing about the loophole is if Judd/Priddis get, say, 100-110, do you go with that decent score, or risk someone like Ablett getting 150, or maybe getting another 60.
I have Hurn and Bower lol might as well go Hurn vice , will have no trouble finding someone not playing lol
Slightly off topic but is anyone considering Franklin as captain this week? Surely he'll decimate Brisbane. Gonna use Priddis as the vice with the loophole myself.

Quote from Fez on June 13, 2012, 16:35 I have Hurn and Bower lol might as well go Hurn vice , will have no trouble finding someone not playing lol
Fez, you might want to be careful of selecting a non-playing option who has the bye. I suspect that the bye players are "locked" along with the WC/Carl players at the start of partial lockout tonight. I have heard rumour that something on twitter has been said to the contrary, but can't find anything official. Last week, all my on-field players with a bye had their score locked as a zero as soon as lockout began.
If you click on the partial lockout info on the team screen under projected score it will tell you only Carl and WCE players are locked all other teams are available for trading as usual

Quote from Corks on June 13, 2012, 21:11 Priddis. Rucks don't go massive against Carlton due to the 3 ruck setup.
Am lucky that Hampson was a late out then!!!! Nic Nat you bloody legend. Now, will Gazza notch up a 200 against North or not.....
