I swore off him 3 years ago but was seduced by his monster scores and brought him in round 8 at $605k. Been copping his pissy scores since.

Quote from jesters on July 16, 2012, 10:35 Genius move of the season. Had the option of trading out stanton for ablett, chose to trade out boyd instead.
WTF why would you even consider trading out Boyd?? Please tell me you were drunk or something!! As for Stanton well ill be trading his sorry arse this week. With form he was in he you had to take the punt. Got some massive scores out of him so its not all bad.
Mother - 'ucking Billie smedts gave me more this week! To all other stank-ton owners I'm sorry, I've the kiss on death this yr and jumped on him after rd 8, hasn't cracked the tonne since, I did the same thing to Murphy just b4 his injury so I'm responsible for derailing a fair number of coaches seasons. Im battling for a finals spot (reigning premiers no less) awith 7-10 all split by percentage, and stank-ton has contributed to my two close losses in the last two rounds, I've only three trades left and no cash so don't even think I can get rid of him, That's it, I hate supercoach this year, its not my friend anymore, I'm taking my bat and ball and going home.
Stanton is just pacing himself that sly little fox that he is. Once everyone has traded him out he'll be my super pod in the SC finals. Starts and finishes the SC year like a Mallee bull. I think he's still missing Zaharakis a bit but will soon get over it. Do I sound like a poor bloke whose short on trades.
I've had enough. Stanton is going this week. It means I won't quite get my team properly upgraded, but I just can't have a supposedly premium midfielder getting 50s coming into finals. Now that that decision is made I feel better already.

gonna trade out stanton this week but cant really afford any of the elite premiums. I can afford anyone from Sloane and cheaper. Thinking maybe him, rockliff, or possibly harvey/goodes to open up the mf link. Thoughts anyone?
Anyone have any thoughts on why he has fallen off so much since rnd 8? On looking at his stats, goal scoring opportunities have dropped off Rnds 1-8 = 11 goals 6 behinds Rnds 9-17 = 1 goal 3 behinds The other major change is in overall disposals Rnds 1-8 = avg 29 disp (4 games 30+) Rnds 9-17 = avg 23 disp (0 games 30+) I really haven't been tracking where Hirdy has been playing him but this smacks of not playing on the ball anymore. This may not be a revelation to everyone, I guess i'm interested in the views of Bomber supporters as to wether Stanton is likely to get a gig back on the ball this season?
If I had Stanton I personally would not trade him - unless I had fully upgraded every other position and have at least 4 trades left. There is a chance he will average 100 the rest of the way. He is a proven 100 point average player. That may have to do for you as your M6.

Quote from Jason on July 25, 2012, 15:36 Stanton to Marc Murphy. Done.
Yeah that was my move too - until last Monday morning found myself a measly $2K short. Oh well...
@ raptor Yes I am certainly not in the position to move him out, with minimal trades and R2 still to upgrade. More thinking come finals that making a sideways trade will be my best option for improving point shortage, especially if he can only manage an 80 avg from now.
