The 2 class horses in the field quinella the 2nd - both had top form coming into the race and it showed - best finishes were Innocent Lady & Red Typhoon who are both worth jotting down in the Black Book, can come up with the goods if placed in right events
Would expect Let Go Lenni (9), Ashokan (2) & Shamexpress (3) to be the ones setting the pace, with (9) the most likely early leader - Dominant (6) & If I Could (7) sitting just off the early speed - Epaulette (1), Timely Truce (4) & Awesome Bro (5) waiting to swoop later. Although, if any of the jocks have taken note of the earlier events they will make sure they don't have too many lengths to make up in the straight - need to be only 2-4 lengths off the lead with 250 to go otherwise won't get home first. Would not surprise me if an upset is on the cards here - any of 4, 5 & 6 capable of causing the upset result, and don't discount Shamexpress either

Solzhenytsin in the next for me - 2,5,8,9,12 the other main chances, but wouldn't rule out Glass Harmonium, Centennial Park & Mr Make Believe from the chances - plenty of decent horses in this one and could throw up a roughie result

Glass Harmonium definitely the best run from the race - after putting in that first up effort he is certainly back into Caulfield Cup calculations!!! Keep following Mr Make Believe - hard task to try and lead up such a classy field and expect to hold them off - suspect Moody learnt from the Poms whilst over there with BC and instructed Benbow to take up the running on MMB to provide the winner with a good strong pace to cart him up to the last 300 with a good winning chance - smart training!!! The one to follow from the last at Caulfield is Saint Desir - nice stallion from France having only it's 3rd start in Oz (2nd start this prep) - I remember seeing this horse at Morphettville in May when it had it's debut Oz start the same day Black Caviar won her 21st race there and was impressed with how it looked - can win a couple of handy races and is trained by an astute horseman, Tony McEvoy
Been a big weekend... The name says it all re grand final yesterday! And just got back from caulfield today, last four races came home with 3 winners epaulette, miss Marx and callanish. More than made up for earlier near misses! Anyway between the swans and coming home with the cash from caulfield best weekend I can remember....
