After being bitten on the AR$E by mid pricers for years I seem to have struck mid price gold this year. With the lack of rookies now that there are no new teams could we be going back to the well chosen middie after three solid years of GNR? Monfries, Cloke, Kennedy JJJJ, Hanley P?????

A couple of mid-pricers dropped off this week, such as Dixon, Liba, Howlett, so I'm being wary of trading in middies to early. It will be interesting to see which ones turn into prems

Hibberd, Heppell, Moloney, Monfries, Boak. Coming soon: Gray, Ball, Bock, Staker, Winderlich.

I reckon the strike rate of mid-pricers stepping up is roughly consistent with previous years. I'm not getting the feeling that we have more than usual this year, probably about the same. For all those success stories, there are many more midpricers who were mooted to break out who are struggling. Toby Greene much?

The mid-pricers are only more noticeable this year because we don't have an expansion club to pull rookies from (Port is trying it's damn hardest to fill this gap though). For every success story, there is a failure. @warsaken - I had Karny and Varcoe(still have him) as my two failures, Hibberd and Fyfe my current success stories. Just two mistakes has effectively cost me any chance at overall. Last roll of the dice this week or next. You were definitely very, very unlucky with those choices. I probably wouldn't have chosen Watts though.
