Ok......so we are about 4 weeks away from the PS Draft. Lots of trade activity or at least attempts to We have the Super Bowl this Sunday in MY state of NJ, so I'm getting kind of bored. Just thought I'd start a BS thread about anything/nothing/everything.....to get us all talking again (or maybe I'm just lonely) sNoZ
All right Snoz and everyone- a challenge if we are interested. See if we can name the players that are going to be taken in the top 10 of our ORFFA draft. Of course, we don't have to put them in order if we don't want to (might be some secrets being spilled if we do) - but it would be an interesting exercise. Reckon the first 4-5 picks are almost unanimous, but things get pretty even after that right through to about pick 15 or even 20 perhaps.
Love it Chris......a game Top 10 Draft Picks, in no particular order of course cough*cough. Tom Boyd Jesse Hogan JackMartin Josh Kelly Kade Kolo blah blah Luke McDonald James Aish Jack Billings Marcus Bontempelli Dom Sheed All Rookie draft picks, most falling into top 10 draft picks anyway I guess huh
It'll be interesting to see where the first recycled player or free agent player is taken. I think I had that honour last year with Michael Walters, but I think we have a deeper draft this year.
Q1, <p style='color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 10px;]Snoz's list is a fair one, I wouldn't be surprised to see Scharenberg &/or Garlett in there though am not sure who wouldn't be.. <p style='color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 10px;] <p style='color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 10px;]Q2. <p style='color: #000000; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 10px;]Within the first round.
Cannot agree with your suggested draft order sNoZ, D's going in the first round? First non rookie will go n the first round, it might be late (very late, hah hah) but it will be in the first round. If you want to bet against that prediction email me and we can discuss the size of the bet.
Below are details of Round 1 from the 2013 ORFFA DRAFT which was dominated by pure mids (11 selections) plus another three DPP mids from the 17 first-round selections as there was no number 7 pick. O'Meara lived up to his top billing and the only non-rookie Michael Walters proved to be an inspired choice. Although considereda suprise selection at the time many would now agree that Powlett Plains got their number five selection right with ruckmanBrodie Grundy. <table width='591' style='width: 444pt;' border='0' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0] <col width='64' style='width: 48pt;[/img]<col width='119' style='width: 89pt;[/img]<col width='126' style='width: 95pt;[/img]<col width='64' style='width: 48pt;' span='3[/img]<col width='90' style='width: 68pt;[/img] <td style='text-align: left; chels comment doubting that many defenders will be picked in the top 10 of the 2014 ORFFA Draft are backed up by the 2013 ORFFA Draft with theonly defender being selected in the first round D/M Nick Vlastuin at 10. I think the depth of attcking defenders is greater in this years draft and would expect3 defender eligible players to be selected in the first round.

I'd be really surprised (and note we are doing this pre NAB etc) if Boyd/Hogan/Martin/Kelly/Kade/Aish/Billings do not go top 10 picks regardless of their position. Scharenberg & Freeman (Coll) probabaly slip into 15-25 based on his feet & Freeman's not ready. Bontempellllllli slips to 15-25, too much of a project Luke McDonald goes top 15 even though he isa Def. Dunstan comes into top 10 in my op from pick 18 at this stage Garlett at 38 probably goes 25-30. Big riskbut NAB will help. Matt Crouch will tickle a few and come into top 15 from pick 23 Same with Lewis Taylor& Roberston - Fwdswho will be top 15 at this stage At least two Rook Rucks will go top 20 And then there's Chris & Chels vying over old meat....
No surprise if we are thinking about the same player chris - do not hesitate amigo - 'who dares wins.'
The Adelaide players in the Waikik squad (Sammy Shaw, Brad Crouch, Matty Wright, Sauce Jacobs, JPod) applaud the guernsey choice for the first of 2014 showdown games. Tom Logan is not happy but given his status, he was reluctant to speak out too strongly. It sure adds spice to a round 2 clash for 'bragging rights' that is eagerly awaited

I'll play along with you TiB - no Fruit Tingles here. Lots of 'fruits' and lots of 'tingles' but fruit tingles - nope.
It must be quiet there.......controversial state jumper approval now pulled back...zzzzzzzzz Onto bigger & better things Chels
In much more important guernsey news, the saints have brought back the stickman, my fav saints masco http://www.saints.com.au/news/2014-02-04/stickman-is-back
AFL Prospectus app has been released (for iPad). On first play, looks pretty sweet. Happy to pay half the price and forego the coffee table decoration.
