Now I realise they were speaking German and speaking highly of you.
I have also asked 7ELEVEN to do two things to commemorate my 3rd ride next year if I can get there. 1 Supply a guernsey with some sort of stretch panels to allow a little more comfort 2 Not run out of the choc iced jam donuts by the 2nd week. I mean really, is it too much to ask to be able to have a couple of those magnificent treats each day I'm in their colours???
So what was the winning strategy this year? Bonus stage 6 from the looks of it. Jodie, will this change our minds for next year ... potentially. Also, I was rather surprised by the large breakaways that were allowed to stay away in the last week with the GC riders not going for stage wins.
Running this again? I don't like velogames, no trades leaves me wanting, but I believe SBS is running again.

Thanks War, if I get time I'll do a frontpage post tonight and see if we can get people to join. No ideas on strategy either, will just have to wing it!

Back again for another year. The SBS one looks harder this year for strategy. I'm not an avid cycling follower so in my initial look I found it harder to find value than I did last year. Also, I don't remember the different categories and points allocation for stages from last year? Could be wrong though, it's been a year after all.
It seems SBS has changed substantially. [span style='font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;]Each[span style='background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;]of the stages is dividend into either Category 1 or Category 2. Category 1 stages earn 50% more points than Category 2. No longer can we use sprinter stages for double points as they are all Cat 2 stages. Cat 1 stages are mountain climbs, time trials or cobbles making results unpredictable In addition, the riders prices are very different. All the top sprinters and GC contenders are priced as 'Premiums' to use Supercoach parlance. One of the more interesting elements of the SBS comp was riders were often mispriced. This has been changed, making team selection more difficult. Those of us with Velogames experience will be well equipped finding Domestics at 6 or 4 points. It is those riders you will need to find for your SBS team Good luck everyone

Nice analysis Jodie, the bonus stage is really interesting with the two tiered structure; the stages I would avoid for the bonus are stage 5 on the pave (too tough for most sprinters) and stage 20 the ITT (I reckon teams will be moving from climbers to sprinters and hence picking ITT specialists is a poor use of transfers). A slightly bold recommendation - at 3.5 Sacha Modolo is a steal.
Nope, no chance. Passed out this morning (damn WC) . Sorry guys. Just keep it in thread here this year. Good luck all.
'[span style='color: #000000; background: #ffffff;]A slightly bold recommendation - at 3.5 Sacha Modolo is a steal.' I hope you all ignored this as a DNF on stage 2 does not amount to a steal!
i haven't had a chance to check my day 2 stats yet, was thinking i had failed again when i saw how many of you had massive scores, then saw that was because most kept r1 as the bonus stage, i changed mine.
well im off to a flyer...had a solid team too but failed to select a bonus stage and so my team didn't lock in. I was under the false impression you could nominate your bonus stage at anytime.
I can't see my team at the moment, I am logged in, but when I select my team I just get some team called 'Last Weeks Losers' who appears to be the #1 team, at work so could be something funky in the browser, is anyone else having issues?
Len, the level of security on SBS is greater than on a bank website - see top right corner; you may need to physically logout as well. Then you need to log in again - it shuts you out after 10 minutes inactivity.

Any chance you could post the user name I used please, it might be worth a try if I could remember, I didn't get a confirming email unfortunately
