A big week this week, lots of big scores. An with McDonald filling in a 36 for Pendles, it shows just how hard those injuries can hit. Even outside of the injury rounds.
Definitely going to have to figure a way to get Zorko into the M7 spot I reckon - I dropped 200 spots to 1,261 with a 2208, while a 2287 in DT sent me backwards 100 spots to 1,590
Funny to see that most scored more in their DT this week than SC though.
Anyways, the review is going up over the break...

Carlton vs Hawthorn
Results: Hawthorn by 50, 18.12.120 to 10.10.70
Considering the weather, I actually expected the Blues to do alright. I mean, not win- The Hawks are a quality premiership contender, but given the condition, should have taken a toll on the tall Hawthorn forward line.
Couldnt have been further from it, with Franklin, Roughead and Gunston combining for 10 goals, with Hale picking up one of his own...
Top scoring for the game was Franklin, who picked up 130SC off 23 touches and 4.2. However, he did go off late with a suspected hammy (which he was apparently cleared of) - but is still a good chance to be rested next week against the Giants.
Mitchell picked up 32 touches for a 129SC, while Birchall, Roughead and Sewell made 113, 112 and 111SC respectively.
On the Blues side, Judd topped the pops. Bouncing back from his last performance, he registered a tidy 29 touches and 126SC. Robinson also did very nicely with 122SC coming off 27 disposals.
Definitely have some red flags flying if youre holding onto Kreuzer though. With Warnock in the team, hes really losing the hitouts he needs to secure a close-to-keeper score, and languished with just 63SC.
Heroes: Franklin, Mitchell, Judd, Robinson
Villians: Kreuzer
Collingwood vs Fremantle
Results: Collingwood by 29, 15.17.107 to 12.6.78
I think the margin was a little kind here- Collingwood put on as many behinds as Fremantle did scoring shots. Seriously, they dominated the first quarter and a half, getting out to a 42 to 2 lead before Freo managed to get a few bcak.
Now, whether Freo stepped up, or the Pies wound themself back, the Dockers did make a game of it in the 3rd, kicking three straight and bringing the margin back to just 3 goals, before Collingwood blazed away again, kicking 2.5
A pair of massive scores, with Jolly collecting 43 hitouts and 157SC, with Swan, hot on his heels off 43 touches and 147SC. That tattooed man is surely going to make me regret again, before the season is through, picking up Pendles instead, Im sure of it.
Rookies, Paine and Elliot both did as much as you could hope for, with scores of 78SC and 73SC- Elliot though, managed to lay 15 tackles. Seriously, its his what- 4th game? Just a little tacker and hes just throwing himself into it with everything hes got. A massive pick up for the Pies.
A couple of villians, Shaw managed just 15 touches and 66SC, while Cloke got himself subbed off in the 4th with just 7 touches and 49SC.
Only three Dockers cracked the ton, with Barlow making a 117SC off 37 touches, Pavlich a 113SC and Johnson doing his job with a 102SC.
Heroes: Jolly, Swan, Paine, Elliot
Villians: Shaw, Cloke
Adelaide vs Richmond
Results: Adelaide by 19, 17.4.106 to 13.9.87
Straight kicking man. Richmond had 40 more disposals, 10 more inside 50s and an extra scoring shot. But Adelaide were ruthless in front of goal. It did take until the 4th quarter for Adelaide to real in Richmonds 5 goal quarter time break- but it was still a tense finish- particularly for those 243 people who backed Adelaide in the Last man standing comp!
Not many high scores for the Crows, with Porplyzia top scoring off 23 touches and 2 goals for just 106SC.
That said though, with such a low high score, its pretty tough to finger any real villians, so Ill move onto the Tigers.
9 tons for the Tigers, including three 130+ scores. A 137SC for Tuck, Cotchin with 136SC and Martin picking up a 134SC. Stoked that I benched Cloke instead of Martin this week.
Interestingly, there wasnt a single scorer for the Tigers that was between 100 and 80, and only 1 between 110 and 80 (Newmans 104).
On the villian fron, definitely have to give that to Rance. Hes had a great year, so his 8 touches and just 37SC makes him a prime candidate for the cap.
Heroes: Porplyzia, Tuck, Cotchin, Martin
Villians: Rance
West Coast vs Gold Coast
Results: West Coast by 126, 25.16.166 to 5.10.40
West Coast went bang to start, kicking 7 of the first 8 goals of the game. They held that lead for a good quarter and a half (Up to half time).
Then went BANG. Seriously, the score worm looks like a bloody stair case, with just 1 wonky step as they kicked 14.11 to just 1.2 after half time. It was a slaughter and a percentage boost, and were it last year, wed start the talk of the bad getting badder once again and how the divided is just too big to overcome (Despite the fact that just 9 short months ago, West Coast were just closing out their season as the reigning wooden spooners.)
Ill be brief though- Ablett struggled with S.Selwood, who is starting to feature quite a bit for his shut down roles (as well as dominating on the other side).
Meanwhile, 12 Eagles cracked the ton. Waters the only big name not too, but his 86SC was a fine return.
Heroes: Shuey, Cox, Selwood
Villians: Ablett
Essendon vs Western
Results: Essendon by 84, 21.14.140 to 8.8.56
It was an even game for half the first quarter, but boy- you let the Dons off the leash and BAM, they closed out the first quarter kicking 7 goals, extending their lead in the 2nd and 4th quarters.
Watson top scored with 30 touches and 145SC, and is certainly doing his Brownlow hopes no harm as he continues to go along, week in week out at such a high level. Hurley bagged 5, to score a 135SC, while Howlett picked up a 131 off 26 touches.
No real villians from the Dons, Heppell maybe for his 70SC. Maybe not so much for the 70, perhaps though because it was the Dons 5th lowest score (including the red and grean bests!)
On the Dogs side, Boyd was good. 34 touches and 133SC.
Lake and Hargrave, werent great, but did the job racking up low 80s scores, while Dickson did ok with a 62SC.
Campbell is approaching his bubble with a 42 this week, so still prolly worth a look at if youre desperate for a downgrade.
Heroes: Watson, Hurley, Boyd
Villians: Griffen
Sydney vs GWS
Results: Sydney by 96, 19.18.132 to 5.8.38
Boy. There were a lot of drummings this week, werent there! Perhaps the gulf really *is* too big to close this time!?!
Of course, I just, though it does make it tough to write about a third drumming in a row.
Jack. A bossly 147SC, with McVeigh picking up 137SC and RoK a 124SC were the highlights.
Meanwhile, it was more of the same from the Giants camp. Ward cracking the ton. Shiel, Greene and Treloar being the ups this week, while McDonald 34, Bugg 24 and Kennedy 9 all struggled.
Heroes: Jack, RoK, Kennedy
Villians: McDonald
Anyways, more review is coming, just need to get these stats pushed up for you all.
So keep the results pouring in peoples.
