Last week was nice, but its a strong bounce back down to earth this week with 2150-2200 looking about the par.
While there were a fair few ouch scores, there werent however, too many shockers. just not many going large.
Nor were there many injuries, which is something we can all be thankful for.
So with that in mind, lets all jump into the review.

Western vs Geelong
Result: Geelong by 20, 14.11.95 to 11.9.75
The first half was fairly well dominated by the cats, even though the Dogs kept themselves in it with some very straight kicking in front of goal. After half time however, it was a much more even affair, though now it seemed to be the Dogs turn to kick astray in front of goal, registering 5.7 after half time to 8.2
Stevie J led the way for the Cats, collecting 36 disposals and 146SC. Did you notice though when Scott was interviewed after the game, and asked about SJs "brilliant game"?, he looked pissed, and his - "yeah, well, he did get a lot of it" - made me think that he wasnt too impressed with it. Maybe he was straying too far from goals for Scotts liking?
Chappy did well with 27 touches and 128SC, while Hawkins scored a 119SC with a couple of late goals making the difference.
Boyd top scored for the Dogs, with 34 touches and 125SC- a classic Boyd effort really, just racked it up all game.
Wallis was very good, 24 touches for a 108SC, was up their with Liberatore and his 100SC.
Lake struggled to get much of the ball, playing a fairly tight role on Hawkins, but still managed a 78SC off 15 touches.
Rookie, Pearce, put up his first game, a full one, but could only make 9 touches for a 35SC.
Heroes: Johnson, Chapman, Hawkins, Boyd
Villians: Hargrave
Richmond vs Hawthorn
Result: Richmond by 62, 21.11.137 to 10.15.75
Yes, you read that right. Richmond, 10 goals in front. Against the "Premiership favourite".
No more honourable losses this week, it was all Tigers, and honestly, if youre part of the Tiger army, I reckon its time to start getting excited. Yes, there are a lot of good teams vying for the top8 thus far this year, but when you can turn on the kind of performance the Tigers did today (and last week for a half against the Bombers), you just know that your list is heading in the right direction. Good times.
Tuck top scored with a very nice 35 touch, 148SC while Maric managed a 146SC off 18 touches. Im sorry I mocked you earlier in the season Maric- youve certainly proved me wrong!
Foley picked up 27 touches, whil JRoo kicked 6- both netting themselves 127SC.
Annoying through all the big scores, Ellis and Morris could both only make the 50s, though the former was subbed off.
Hawthorn on the other hand, only cracked a single ton- Roughead, with 2 goals and 17 touches for a 109SC.
The rest of the Hawks however, ooooh, its villian (and bargin in a few weeks) town for you guys! Esspecially you Suckling!
Heroes: Tuck, Maric, Foley, Riewoldt, Martin
Villians: Suckling, Lewis, Hale
Gold Coast vs Port Adelaide
Result: Port by 48, 17.16.118 to 10.10.70
For a game that was seperated by 1 point at half time, it sure did blow out in the 3rd! 7.7 to just 2 behinds and just like that, Port had an unassailiable lead. One that they carried through to the final siren.
Broadbent went large, his 25 touches enough for a 153SC, while Pearce carried his massive form from last week into this, 28 touches for a 142SC.
Boak did very well with a 138SC off 28 touches, while Trengove and Kornes both also cracked the ton with scores of 113SC and 102SC respectively.
5 tons for the Suns, Ablett of course with a 111SC lead the way- but for mine, he didnt quite look right. Did anyone else think that?
Horsley might have cast a few doubts on his keeper status this game, just 14 touches - though he did turn them into a tidy 75SC.
Heroes: Broadbent, Pearce, Boak,
Villians:
St. Kilda vs Sydney
Result: St. Kilda by 28, 16.15.111 to 12.11.83
Footy is a funny game, just 4 weeks ago, Sydney were sitting right at the pointy end of the stick, while St. Kilda were languishing. Fast forward to now, the Swans have had 3 big losses, bringing them right back to the pack, while the Saints have, well, pulled themselves right back into the pack. Meanwhile, their football is looking better than ever. For the Swans, I wonder how much that relates to Goodes going down?
Steven led for the Saints, his 24 disposals enough for a 143SC, while Dal Santo smashed it with a 130SC off 25 touches.
Saad, if you bought into him, well, BAM, 11 touches, kicked 2.3 and amassed a mighty 105SC.
And while Im here, he certainly wasnt best aground, but for mine, 250 games, and Hayes, youre a hero mate.
Jack top scored the Swans with 26 touches and 123SC, just a single point above JPKennedy, who colelcted 122SC off 24 touches.
RoK looks to be hitting some form now, picking up 27 disposals for a 109SC.
Heroes: Hayes, Steven, Dal Santo, Saad, Jack
Villians: Malceski, Parker
GWS vs Essendon
Result: Essendon by 66, 18.11.119 to 7.11.53
While I dont believe the Bombers ever actually got out of second gear for the game, I did really like what I saw from the Giants. Wow, their pressure in the first half, all over the ground, was just ferocious. Definitely rate them higher now than the Suns were last year. And to think, they still have another star or two to raid! Scary.
Ryder and Howlett top scored the game, both with scores of 124SC. The latter, was originally the sub, until Hardingham pulled out as a late withdrawal.
Bellchambers did nicely, picking up a 114SC, while Watson managed a 108SC off 26 disposals.
The ol Perma-captain though, disappointing with just 73SC off 27 touches. Though he was held very tightly through the first half by Scully.
For the GWS, Treloar was a gun. 25 disposals and a goal for 115SC led the way. Shiel also rewarded his coaches nicely with a 98SC.
Giles did what he does, this time with a 92SC, while McDonald and Smith did enough with scores of 74SC and 71SC.
Adams wasnt great, just a 55SC and Im thinking he could be rested soon, while Bugg returned with a 48SC.
Darley brings himself to the bubble with another sub-effected 23SC, which means he could still fit into my post round11 downgrade plans, depending on how much cash he makes next week.
Heroes: Ryder, Howlett, Dempsey, Treloar, Shiel
Villians: Stanton
Adelaide vs Collingwood
Result: Collingwood by 26, 10.15.75 to 6.13.49
Both of these teams should be there when it gets to the pointy end of the season, so it made for some very good watching. Provided you werent stuck watching the Bombers game that is . It was a very tight game for the first 3 quarters, with the lead constantly going one way, then being reigned back in. All the way til the 4th quarter, when bam. Collingwood showed up, piling on 5.5, near doubling their score, to Adelaides 3 behinds.
A massive score for Beams, who is smashing it is Swans absence with 36 disposals and a mighty 175SC. Sidebottom did very well, with 31 disposals and a 142SC.
Daisy scored himself a 118SC, while Pendles picked up a 118SC - both off 29 touches.
Cloke though- boy o boy, that contract is going to be the talking point of the week- his form has been terrible, and his 4 touches for a behind, and 26SC will be a massive point. Still, hell be a bargin after the byes!
Reilly top scored for the Crows with a 117SC off 22 touches, and along with Tippetts 104SC were the only ones to break the ton.
Dangerfield came back to earth the an 87SC, as did the Porpis with just a 62SC. Reckon hes maxed out in price and cant see him averaging over 80 for the rest of the season, so hes either an upgrade, or youre settling for that in your F7.
Heroes: Beams, Sidebottom, Thomas, Reilly
Villians: Cloke, Porplyzia
North Melbourne vs Brisbane
Result: North by 16, 17.10.112 to 15.6.96
North were 58 points up, but damn, they nearly put in a repeat of last weeks effort, letting the Lions take it all the way to the end. Cant believe that it was 10.2 to just 4.2 after half time. But, they did get away with it, and keep their finals hopes alive.
A massive game by Goldstein, collecting 28 disposals and 153SC, looks like hes played himself back into a little form with HMac still missing.
Swallow did nicely, his 25 touches picking up a 127SC.
Petrie kicked 3.2 for a 121SC while Harvey also cracked the ton with a 103SC off 27 disposals.
Redden did nicely for the Lions, picking up 25 disposals for a 131SC, while Hanley put in a very tidy 112SC off 21 touches.
Probably a little harsh putting Rockliff on the villians list, but his first quarter was horrid. Still cant believe he picked up 22 touches, particularly after his knee. All good though from all reports, though it wouldnt suprise me to see him rested next week going into the bye.
One funny thing about Redden and Rockliff though, when one scores well- the other tends to struggle- check it out.
<img src="http://tooserious.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/RockyRedden.png" width="486px" />
So, as a Rocky owner, if it wrong to cheer for Redden to not get the ball?
Heroes: Goldstein, Swallow, Redden, Hanley
Villians: Rockliff
Carlton vs Melbourne
Result: Carlton by 58, 15.17.107 to 6.13.49
Well, at least Melbourne kept themselves in it til 3 quarter time right?
Robinson was dominant. 33 disposals, 3.2 and 161SC, eclipsing his nearest rival, Kreuzer, who threw off his "late withdrawal" rumours to belt out 20 disposals and 116SC.
McLean and Ellard we both very good, with 115SC each, while Warnock was very good in the ruck, collecting 111SC.
Bootsma showed me why I shouldnt have beratted myself so strongly for considering him in the off-season, even if he does weigh in at 42kg, it will be good to see him with a few more pre-seasons under his belt.
Two tons for the Demons this week, Frawley with a 116SC and McDonald with a 100SC square.
Not much to write home about though really, maybe Magner with just a 54SC and hes really going to have to work hard to hold his value leading into the byes.
Heroes: Robinson, Kreuzer, Frawley
Villians: Judd
West Coast vs Fremantle
Result: West Coast by 48, 11.18.84 to 5.6.36
Seriously, I ducked out at half time, really expecting the Eagles to be winning- I mean, while the scores were level, the Eagles had a lot more of it. I didnt expect to come back at 3 quarter time though to find the West Coast had scored 5.6 to just a single behind. Ouch.
Rosa was everywhere. 43 disposals and 158SC. Reckon thats got to be a career high for the bloke.
Shuey is officially broken out, collecting 26 touches and a 138SC while Waters picked up 25 and a 128SC. Personally, Im annoyed I didnt pick up Waters, while I expected stronger scoring this year, I really didnt expect it at this level. And well, I also expected him to miss a few more games up to this point- either injury, or suspension- hes been good at both!
5 more tons to the Eagles including Priddis, Gaff, Hurn, Hill and Glass. Thats right, I said Glass. picked up 16 disposals and 107SC.
With all this pie however, someone had to struggle, and today, it was Cox and Kerr giving up their usual portions, scoring just 68SC and 48SC.
For the Dockers, Johnson continued his good year, picking up a 120SC off 24 disposals, while Pavlich was the only other to ton up, a 113SC off 23 touches.
Ballantyne, Duffield and Broughton all disappointed with scores of 76SC, 76SC and 74SC- as did Sandilands who could just make a 71SC.
However, it was mid-priced wonder, Pearce, who really stung his owners this week with just a 36SC off 8 disposals.
Heroes: Rosa, Shuey, Waters, Johnson, Pavlich
Villians: Cox, KerrSandilands, Mundy, Pearce
And thats it. So, how did yall go this week? I picked up a 2245 which was a near top score in all of my leagues. Happy to have won 4 leagues, but as always, that loss was the 3rd highest score running into the 2nd highest.
I guess its better than what happened to my opponent a few weeks ago in the Sportal comp. He got the 6th highest score in the overall, I knocked him off with the 5th. nom nom nom.
And now its over to you guys!
