Id nearly forgotten the thrill of having your unique premium knock out a severly poor score, on the Thursday before a long weekend.

But hey- those are the joys of Supercoach, its a harsh and cruel mistress, but hell, for all the lows, it certainly is hella-fun to play!

And with that thought, its onto the review.

    Brisbane vs Carlton

    Result: Carlton by 91, 23.16.154 to 9.9.64

Accurate kicking helped Brisbane go into the first change up by a few points, and even up to half time, they remained pretty competitive. But once they came out at half time, it was all Blues all the time.

Judd led the way for the blues, though he had just 2 touches in the first quarter, came into the match after that, amassing a further 31 touches and 150SC. Murphy wasnt far behind, his 30 touches and 2 goal scoring him a 147SC.

Jarryd Waite jagged 5.1 with 20 touches, reminding us why he was a premium just a few years ago with a 133SC.

Meanwhile, Kreuzer showed how well he can share with Hampson, collecting 24 of their 49 hitouts, and 13 touches to bring up the ton. 100SC on the dot.

Scotland did better than last week, but will still be disappointing with an 85SC, while Gibbs just didnt do enough, his 19 touches good for a 71SC.

On the rookie front, wow, Bower did well- 24 disposals for a mighty 93SC.

On Brisbanes side, as youd expect with a 91 point demolishing, it was ugly, with Rockliff and his 61SC being the chief culprite.

Really though, every lion disappointed, Adcocks 60SC, Golby and his 53SC and Hanley with his 53SC all were pretty painful.

    Heros: Judd, Murphy, Bower
    Villians: Rockliff, Adcock, Hanley, Gibbs

    Essendon vs Port Adelaide

    Result: Essendon by 25, 16.15.111 to 13.8.86

It was a tight match the whole way through this game, how it always seems to go when the Bombers play Port, with the Bombers pulling out, the Port constantly realing back the difference.

Hille going down early, and injuries to both Myers and Lovett-Murray had the Bombers right on the ropes late in the game, but a few big goals saw the Bombers run out eventual winners in a very tight game.

Ryders score of 99SC doesnt reflect the fact that he dominated the hitouts, with 46HOs against Redden, but it was Watson who top scored for the game, his 25 touches enough for a massive 149SC.

Dempsey looked in fine touch again, his 23 disposals and 111SC will be making his mid-priced investors smile with glee, while Zaharakiss 95SC and Heppells 94SC more than justified their price tags.

Wingard was tracking along beautifully, he scored a 41SC before leaving the ground near the end of the second quarter with a concussion. Good signs.

Redden would have stepped in for a bunch of people with the absence of Mumford, so his 61SC was enough to cover.

    Heros: Watson, Stanton, Dempsey
    Villians:

    Sydney vs Fremantle

    Result: Sydney by 13, 14.10.84 to 12.9.81

Mumford (back) replaced in selected side by Seaby. It rung out across the twittersphere and stung oh so many coaches who werent on hand for lockout. Let that be a lesson to all- if you can, get that last minute check in!!

A massive second quarter, with Sydney kicking 5.3 to just 1.1 really set the tone for the the game, though Fremantle tried valantly to get back into it, they just couldnt do enough to get over the Swans.

Kennedy was massive for the Swans, scored a 139SC off 36 disposals, bringing his average up to 138. Massive start to the season, this game with 22 contested possessions and a lowly 56% DE. I reckon Dirty_Whorks would be a little dirty though, you were all over JPK last year mate, looking like you might have jumped a year early!!

Goodes did well, bringing up a 115SC off 18 touches and two goals, while Malceski did what we were hoping to see- a 26 disposal 104SC.

Sandilands is redonkulous. No pre-season to speak of, and hes collecting 54 hitouts, 19 disposals and a massive 149SC.

After the Giant though, it falls off a bit. Fyfe and his 83SC is off what we expect, Broughton and 72 is again, below par- but certainly better than last week.

Barlow is going to be a delicious prospect once he stops getting these sub guernseys, with just 52% gametime, he managed to rack up 20 touches and a 68SC.

Finally, Duffield got our hopes up last week, but it looks like a rib injury has kept him down to just 10 touches and a 56SC, meanwhile we have to wait and see if hes out for long (Though Im hearing hell be fine!)

    Heros: Kennedy, Malceski, Sandilands
    Villians: Jack, Duffield, Pavlich

    West Coast vs Melbourne

Result: West Coast by 108, 25.16.166 to 9.4.58

Dont know what to say, is Melbourne that new francise that started up this year? or last year? or is Neeld just the wrong man. Definitely something is amiss down at Demonsland and this week it was West Coast that jumped onto it.

Dont forget, the ticker takes into account 10 weeks of play when deciding its ratings, but the Demons are playing way worse than last year- so pop each tick up a grade I reckon.

The biggest benefactor today was Scooter Selwood, 34 touches and a massive 155SC. I remember saying last week that I wish Id had the stones to pick him- well, damn damn damn to that!

Hurn did nicely, 31 disposals and a 117SC while Priddis was a little under what youd expect- 30 disposals, but jsut 101SC.

The ruck situation down at West Coast is still being closely watches with both Naitanui and Cox sharing the duties, the former leading the hitout dual, 22 to 20. He also lead the SC could, his 12 touches enough for a 116SC, while Cox could just manage an 89SC off his 16. Worrying signs for the master ruckman.

The only real downside of the game was Embley, going down early with a shoulder which is looking like a 3 month job.

Not much to smile from on Melbournes side, Trengove continues to improve with a 112SC, while rookie Magner secured us all a tidy 90SC off a massive 32 disposals, 20 of them contested.

To put that into context, Magner had 32 touches, only two others had more than 20 with 27 and 21.

He had 20 CP, with only 2 others breaking 10 (14 and 12). In short, if he keeps up this form, he becomes a luxury upgrade- hes somebody you must have in your squad after next week.

    Heros: Selwood, Naitanui, Magner
    Villians: Cox, Melbourne

    Collingwood vs Richmond

    Result: Collingwood by 21, 12.13.85 to 8.16.64

The result was expected, but the ride- boy, Richmond impressed my with their sheer ability to never give up. Even after that 5 minute period in the 3rd, where Collingwood put on 5 straight, they managed to claw back and really make a game of it.

In fact, they only had 1 less scoring shot than the Pies, and will probably rue that inaccurate kicking.

Deledio was huge - 35 disposals and a might 145SC top scored for the game. Newman did a decent job, scoring a 99SC while mid-pricer, Conca bounced back from being the sub last week with a tidy 21 touch, 87SC.

Morris, for all the guff he scored last week was fantastic. 21 disposals at 90% DE, while applying plenty of pressure down back could have him exceeding expectation if he keeps it up. Menwhile, Ellis also got more of it than last week, 18 touches for a 53SC.

The biggest disappointment (at least, the guy who effected the most players), was Martin, just 21 touches and 68SC, but JRoo was terrible. Just 3 behinds off 12 touches for a 29SC. Just imagine if hed converted em!

On the Pies side, it was the usual suspects Pendles (127SC), Cloke (122SC) and Swan (100SC) all played their role, but Sidebottom with his 107SC off 24 touches was particularly impressive considering his price tag.

Disappointing for the week was Shaw, just 14 disposals for a 76SC, while Beams could be a tasty upgrade when he regains fitness, his 22 touch 69SC should see his price tag come down a bit between now and upgrade time.

    Heros: Deledio, Morris, Sidebottom
    Villians: Martin, Riewoldt, Beams

    Adelaide vs Western

    Result: Adelaide by 18, 11.16.82 to 9.10.64

Inaccurate kicking kept the Dogs out of it early as the Crows went into the main break with a fair 4 goal lead, but a big 4.2 to 3 behind 3rd quarter got the Dogs back into it leading into the final change. Walker kicking 2 of Adelaides 4 goals in the final quarter was enough to see that take out the 4 points.

Leading the charge for Adelaide, as he often does, was Thompson. His 34 touch, 120SC is what weve all come to expect from the bloke, while Reilly and Sloane both continue to impress as mid-pricers, with 114SC and 100SC respectively.

Dangerfield continues to impress, without really impressing, with 18 touches for a 92SC, while Porplyzia will have his coaches smiling, his 93SC off 20 touches will see him as an excellent F7 if it comes to it.

On the Dogs side, Brian Lake proved oh so many coaches wrong. The most traded out player of the week bounced back with a massive 110SC off 23 touches, just going to show- you cant use a single game to determine form.

Its times like this I like to remind people of my Jarryd Waite story. The year was 2008 and DT was the game, he spent his first 3 weeks averaging just 46 points and I cut my losses and traded him out. Scores of 118 and 103 followed, as did him finishing the season at a top 7 backman. So stick fat to your players people! You picked them up for a reason... right?

Boyd was a little below his best, a 103SC off 28 touches, while Dahlhaus still looks good value to those who took the risk with a 22 touch 86SC.

Not very much bad news to come from the game, just the two popular doggie rookies in Smith and Dickson earning a red and green vest respectively, restricting their scores to just 27SC and 38SC.

    Heros: Thompson, Lake
    Villians: Callinan, Johncock

    North Melbourne vs GWS

Result: North Melbourne by 129, 28.15.183 to 8.6.54

Wow, North get to play the Giants and Suns twice this year, and if those percentage boost arent enough to see them scrape into 8th, then man- Ill eat my hat. The Roos DOMINATED the GWS with the half time score looking like a cricket score (4/80). 6 goals in the 3rd saw the Giants regain a little something, but really- this was a blowout of extreme proportions, and not the last well see.

So many big scores for the Roos, but it was Bastinac and his 44 disposals for a 151SC that took the cake. 16 kicks, 28 handballs, 12 of them contested. Someone needs to tell the bloke to kick it long! effectively.

Harvey and Swallow both did well with scores of 137sC and 128SC, though Swallow was worrying early, just 27DT points to half time. Still not sure how he scaled so highly considering the game was well done and dusted when he came into it. Reckon the 90% DE mustve helped.

With so many points going round, its sad that Goldstein could only manage an 81SC, beaten again by McIntosh with a 110SC. I swear, if either of those blokes goes down, the other is going to be a bargain!

On the GWS side of things, Studly Chad might be earning back his Studly tag. A very nice 32 touch 121SC, including 10 rebounds from the 50. Wish Id grabbed him in the ORFFL as hes looking like hell be good value this year.

Giles did awesome, racking up a 100SC, while Greene did the job with an 81SC.

Kennedy and Hombsch backed up last weeks performances with scores of 67SC, while Shiel managed a 63SC in his first full game.

Bugg and Smith did as expected with scores of 57 and 53, while Mohr manged a 49SC off just 10 touches.

Heros: Bastinac, Harvey, Swallow, Cornes, Giles, Greene
    Villians: Goldstein

    St. Kilda vs Gold Coast

Result: St. Kilda by 92, 21.13.139 to 7.5.47

We all expected a Saints win, but really I expected more of a shake from the Suns after watching the Saints last week against Port. Guess it goes to show how much the Power have improved this off-season, and just how far the Suns still need to go.

Goddard led the way for the Suns, his 33 touches and 147SC were just what the doctor ordered for the highest priced SC defender. NRoo impress as well, collecting 21 touches and booting 4.2 for a tidy 119SC.

Lenny Hayes did well, his 27 touches enough for a 118SC while McEvoy did well in the ruck, with 27 hitouts and 14 touches for a 117SC.

Young Terry Milera showed why he was such a value pickup, managing 15 touches for an 86- and I reckon hell be the topic of some discussion this week. His scores have been great no doubt, and hes certain to rise in value- but has the calibur of his opponent been there? Though I guess the Saint run over the next 3 weeks looks pretty damn promising for him.

Ledger Ill just mention briefly as hes in a lot of squads. Sub effected and just 34% game time saw him amass hst 8 touches for an already-game-over-scaled 17SC.

On the Suns side, who do we care about? Ablett and he didnt disappoint. 40 touches, 20 kicks, 20 HBs, 20 CP and 143SC. Great stuff from the little master. Brennan did the job with 25 touches and a 96SC.

Meanwhile, rookie prospect, Hall got himself subbed off, picking up 9 touches and 30SC off 54% game time.

    Heros: Goddard, Riewoldt, Ablett, Milera
    Villians:

    Geelong vs Hawthorn

    Result: Geelong by 2, 14.8.92 to 13.12.90

Wow, the Cats just wont die, will they! At least not with what the Hawks were firing at them. Again and again Hawthorn pulled away through this game, but every time the cats managed to claw it back, falling over the line with their noses just in front. Dare I say it, a few more seconds could have seen a different result, but hey- thats footy right!

Hawkins top scored for the catters with a heroic 22 touch, 3 goal 2 performance, netting his 159SC.

Chapman was his classic stout self, collecting 22 disposals for a 121SC, while Selwood gave us all a scare, putting his head over the ball a few too many times and nearly taking himself out. Twice.

Enright bounced back from last weeks debarcle with a 20 touch 95SC, while Christensen looked good with 24 touches and 85SC.

Guthrie was so-so, his 9 touches netting 52 SC, while Smedths collected 12 touches after being subbed off with 64% game time for a 42SC.

    S. Johnson definitely earned the villian tag in this game, his 68SC off 17 disposals and 3 goals just seemed wrong for the output!

On Hawthorns end, Mitchell continues his awesome start to the year. 30 touches and a 141SC, while Whitecross had a big game, his 28 touches enough for a 133SC.

Lewis is looking a good pickup, 20 disposals for a 116SC, while Roughead in his first game back managed a very nice 89SC. Will definitely need to keep him in mind with his F/R eligibility.

Speaking of 89SC, Franklin and Rioli both hit the number, those in Franklins case, his 2.4 could have made it so much more if hed kicked straight.

Heros: Hawkins, Chapman, Mitchell, Lewis, Roughead.
    Villians: SJ

And thats it. Lockout is unlocked, Im currently uploading the stats and we should be good to rock before the night is out.

TS trading games is still rocking out the top 3 leagues in the world, which for mine, is fricking awesome. Lets hope we see some good trading right!!

I scored a 2,186, which sadly has dropped me to 20,105th position, but Im still happy with my squad and reckon Im still in the hunt.

    Howd you guys do?
