<p style='font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;]When I look back at 2013, I imagine that round 6 will stand out as that week that officially killed my season.
<p style='font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;]What an absolute killer of a week!
<p style='font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit;]now, since I've been out all weekend, the review will be late, perhaps non existent, but I would still love to hear how it's treated you.

That said, Shenanigans has been a bit of a boss, getting in the Sunday reviews! Legend mate!

<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]The first of three very one-sided Sunday games saw the reigning premiers romping it in over the Lions. It also saw me achieve a painful SECOND on StadiumSport.com, which almost makes me forget my woeful 2022. Almost. The biggest talking point for me this weekend is the push/hands in the (insert random body part)” in marking contests. They only seem to happen when a goal could be kicked as a result of the contest, and are not being adjudicated consistently (IMHO). The game, she is a changing, and not for the better. 95% of ruck contests are decided by a subtle push or a shove, but heaven forbid you do that when trying to position for a mark…

<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Anyway, onto the actual football game. Sam Reid kicked 3.1 for the Swans, while Adam Goodes, Mike Pyke and Jude Bolton all kicked 2 goals each. Jarrad McVeigh (98) starred with 28 touches, 4 tackles and a goal.Jack Redden (94) was one of the best for the Lions with 23 touches and 7 tackles.Starting sub Joshua GREEN played all of the second half and kicked two, making him the only Lion with more than one goal.
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Nine Swans tonned up, topped by Daniel Hannebery with 131 from his 32 touches and 1.1. Others in the 100 club were Jack (126), Jetta (124), Nick Smith (118), ROK (115), Malsexy (114), the big Canuck (105), JPK (102) and a flat 100 from Sammy Reid rounds out the list.
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;] Ryan LESTER was alone with triple figures for the Lions with a massive 130 from 27 touches, 6 tackles and a goal playing on Luke PARKER (92, 1.1, 21 disp).

<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Hannebery, Lester, Lewis JETTA, Mike Pyke, Nick Malceski, Kieren Jack, Sam Mayes (50), Justin Clarke (63)
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Villains
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;] Dayne Zorko (63), Bolton (67), Ted Richards (54)
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Carlton Blues V Melbourne Demons
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;] font-size: 13px;]Carlton by 61
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]As we all expected, Carlton were not troubled at all. Melbourne somehow seemed to be neither forward nor behind the ball at times. At one stage the ball was cleared into the Demon forward line, was cleaned up by a solitary Blue defender and then bobbled around the midfield for a few short kicks/handballs before being booted into one solitary Blue in the Carlton forward line. Seeing how Melbourne have been going, maybe they just had a crack at playing with all 22 between the 50m arcs.
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]This sort of play really kept the Carlton forward 50 clear for the smalls, allowing Eddie Betts (4.0), Jefferey Garlett (4.0), Marc Murphy (3.0, 28 disp) and Dennis Armfield (2.1) to do massive scoreboard damage for Carlton. Jarrad Waite also kicked 2.2 in his return to AFL, but another silly incident may see him looked at by the MRP. Colin Sylvia (92 from 2.1) was the only multiple goal kicker for the Demons.
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Really feel for Jack Grimes, who was subbed early and sent straight to the ambulance with a shoulder injury. Yarran was subbed off for Carlton in the last quarter with 53. Oh, andfor anyone who missed the Fox commentary - Shaun Hampson's girlfriend is Megan Gale, and they'd rather talk about her than football. Jealous much?
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]So onto the SC scores, and unsurprisingly Carlton dominated the ledger here as much as they did on the scoreboard. They had ALL of the 9 tons, led by Andrew Walker 141 (1 goal, 22 touches, 4 tackles). The other tons were Murphy (131), Garlett (135), Betts (126), Lachie Henderson (113), Robert Warnock (110), Heath Scotland (106), Kane LUCAS (106), Mitch Robinson (105). First gamer Jaryd CACHIA was the sub & scored 25 from just the final quarter, so could be a good option in the coming weeks.
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]The only thing worthy of mention for Melbourne was that the Joneseses were the 1 and 2 scorers - Nathan Jones with 95 and Matt Jones with 94. Most of the rookies scored like rookies, with only Michael EVANS holding his head up with 75. Dean Kent played over three quarters after coming on for the injured Grimes, but could only manage 29.

<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Villains
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;] Chris Judd (65), Chris Yarran (54), Jeremy HOWE (34), Rohan Bail (32), Jack TRENGOVE (35), Shannon Byrnes (28) and (hate to do it) Grimes (13)
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]West Coast Eagles V Western Bulldogs

<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Another white wash over in the battle of the westies, with the Eagles up by four goals after one term. Jack DARLING starring early, kicking 5.1 from just 11 touches for a big 120, but also copped a corky from JJK late in the game. Josh J. Kennedy (80) junked it up for 4.1 all in the second half, big Cox kicked 4.0 (& 29 hitouts), the Frenchman had an inaccurate 3.4 and 19 touches). Shuey dictated all over the park with a 2.1, 25 touches & 5 tackle performance; before being put on ice early in the past quarter after copping a knock to the ankle. Clay Smith was the only multiple goal kicker for the Doggies with 2.1, which in addition to his 26 disposals and four tackles saw him miss the ton by the slimmest of margins.
<p style='color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; background-color: #ffffff;]Eagles tons aplenty with Luke Shuey (139), Dean Cox (126), Chris Masten (125, 1.0, 26 disp, 8 tackles), Darling (120), Shannon Hurn (118), Mark LeCras (117), Matt Priddis (113), Adam Selwood (110), Darren Glass (108). Just the two with triples for the Bulldogs with Will Minson (106) & Matthew Boyd (102, 18 HB, 7 kicks, 4 tackles), but there were a few decent rookie scores for the pups.

Nicnat(40) is listed here too, just for his upcoming price drop.
