For the first round of the finals the highest rank club gets to choose their opponent, then the second highest ranked club chooses their opponent & then the third highest chooses their opponent with the last teams left play. clubs must choose their opponents by 10pm AEST on Thursday 20 August 2015. If not the Commissioner will choose, so don't leave it to the last moment guys. Choose your opponents & post it in this thread. Once the elimination round is locked in we will upload it into Matchday. Good luck to all teams.
I'll kick it off early - the Monarchs are happy to welcome the Panthers down to Bass Strait for the first week of finals.
Good luck to you all, make sure it's entertaining, it's a long off season for the rest of us!!! Still at least I get to watch the Eagles assault on the finals this year.
Good luck to this years finalists! It's another long off season for the Crocs but there's a three peat attempt I'll be supporting to keep me entertained for the next month
Congrats to all finalists! With an upset or two the second highest scoring team of the year and top scorer since the break has dropped to fifth, what a dangerous floater! Who'd want to finish fourth? No choose your own adventure there! Almost the worst spot in the 8! @Insider are the Armadillos & Bulls going toe to toe in a final again?

Still only dreaming in the Serengeti of what it is like to play at this time of year but best of luck to the top 8 for this season! (apart from the Bulls...) Quick question - is final ladder position/draft order, based on results after or before finals?

Luke Parker's injury have anything to do with your decision? Kicking a man whilst he is down! It certainly made the choice easier but as the lowest scoring team in finals it was always gonna be them. I bet the Bunyips wish they could be playing Paky this week with Ablett and Beams out.

I need a few players to come back if im any danger of doing something this finals series. <div class='Quote' style='color: #434343; margin-bottom: 5px; padding: 5px 10px; border: 1px dotted #000000; background: #f1f1f1;]<em style='background: transparent;]wrightbrendan wrote: <p style='margin-bottom: 0px; background: transparent;]Still only dreaming in the Serengeti of what it is like to play at this time of year but best of luck to the top 8 for this season! Our resident rules guru Yad will no doubt pop his head in and clarify

The Bunyips can play the Parasites, nothing stipulates that they have to pick a team ranked 5-8 Also, its your choice now insider

Good luck to you all in the finals. Anyone in the next 8 (sorry to the bottom 2) keen on having and unofficial losers finals?

Just had a look in our 2015 rules thread to check and what's written there is something completely different. Not sure how that happened, I vaguely remember a vote on it at some stage.
Just checked the rules, we did vote on it & changed it from a choice to: 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6 & 4 v 5. My apologies coaches! Therefore the Elimination Finals will be: King Island Monarchs v Korumburra Blowflys Ararat Armadillos v Pearcedale Panthers Blanchetown Bunyips v Staghorn Flat Bulls Pakenham Parasites v Groote Eylandt Barracudas
