So, turns out, when you lose your weekly rollover script in the offseason, weekly rollovers tend to take longer than expected.

Also means that there is a chance that there's bugs and whatnot. So if you notice anything, let me know!

But yeah, everything should be updated, stats, calcs, ORFF*'s, the works.

A quick note to you ORFFA/U guys- I put in the new script that rolls teams over from round to round, but didn't take it out for you guys. Cause the round turnover is a couple of days away, figured that that wouldn't be too bad. :D Let me know if you want keep said functionality, or not. :)

I imagine next week will run smoother as I get back into my groove. Definitely can't go as bad as my team though!

Walesy, not sure if you noticed, but all the ORFF leagues have points against in the 2000's. That, and the FU needs a ladder script rerun for some changes. Cheers and great job with the stats, will be exceptionally useful next week I suspect.

How were the cat videos mate?

On a serious note - the idea of keeping the ORFF teams from last week is probably a good one. It should save us some problems. Thanks :)

I need early SC advice - get at me TSers!
Deciding to punt Deledio. not sure if i should spend the one trade or use two.
      Comment or thumbs welcome:

Up: Deledio (fwd) to Taylor Adams or Tom Bell (fwd's) & Patrick Cripps (mid) to Rich
Down: Deledio (fwd) to Taylor Adams or Tom Bell (fwd's) & leave it at that for this week.
Comment: Deledio to Dahlhaus or Roughy (presently have swan/bont/gray/clark/salem on field)

      cheers

I am also in the position of what on earth to do with Lycett. Now we have seen the crappy ruck scores i am less confident about my choice here. Given i have NicNat and the DPP rookie in the ruck, I guess the only option is to stick phat with Lycett or downgrade to TBC who looked pretty good? Think I will stick with Lycett as the trade will only generate around $116k.

But then again, I should really just wait another week and see what they both produce... really tempted to upgrade KK to McGovern too!

Nice one mate, the points against tally was adding in last years scores as well. :D

No change to results, but it sure did look funny!

That said, ladder is re-run. Let me know if it's cool.

Just looked at ORFFL ladder Chief, it's not ranking teams on % for some reason.
Maybe your script has something in it that says 'always rank Mount Buggery #1' :p

Not that it matters for Coulta, should be 3rd on % anyway o/ #beststartever :D

mate, are you able to post your supercoach team name here so I can give you 'IMO' my best possible answer. I wouldn't mind looking at your whole team set up

stripey, the one thing I've learnt from you seasoned guys here is not to act hastily in trading. you know better than me to give blokes another chance at the start of the year.

I personally am treating my R3 as loophole material. I have also started with hamling in defence (B8) and lambert up forward (F8). I use these as loopholes until they get a start in the year.
personally I would give kk another week. as an example, bonts was 38 points at 1/2 time, I read somewhere. he came home with 125.
I don't expect some elite midfielders to post similar poor scores for round 2 which many of us have. 30 trades seems a lot but they sure run out come round 18/19.

Cheers CY, yeah i have got carried away the last couple of years and run out of trades with 2 or 3 weeks left. Last year my team was decimated round 23 which was why I dropped from top 500 to 2500.

I am expecting next week I might move Touk Miller on as I cant see him posting scores worthy of a midfield rookie spot, so if Lycett spuds it again there is my two trades right there without allowing for any other injury or correction trades.

As you say, sit tight is the right answer but boy do I have an itchy trigger finger atm!!!

Dahlhaus or Roughy. Your first two options are both classic examples of chasing last week's points.

      It's Points For, mate.

Does that mean the rounds and the draw mean nothing? Does everything just come from total paoints scored, draft order, etc?

The rounds determine the wins/loses, but if wins are even, it is split based on points for, rather than percentage.

Why? Because Percentage is driven by Points Against- which you have absolutely no control over thus is luck based. (as opposed to actual sports where it's your own performances that let the other guy score)

      As always, hilarious. :D

I'll leave you guys in the rollover then! :D

Cripps to Rich seems to indicate Rich is value - what type of average do you expect as I reckon 85 myself, hardly worth the upgrade if Cripps averages high 70s.

I personally dont mind Dahlhaus in for Deledio as a POD but why not go for one of the more proven year in year out scorers

mate IMO back your research if you through going midpriced in KK was the answer stick to your guns (at least for a week)

other than week 1 scores is their any guarantee McGovern will outscore KK by enough to make the trade worthwhile?

stripey just saw your team in one of the leagues. if the magic wand worked and you had your best scores on the field, your team would of amassed an extra 160 +/- points, meaning you would of scored 2220 +/-. this would of been a great score and if you did that, i'm sure no changes would have been contemplated like above

Yes your right, my starting team isnt a complete disaster.. just looking for any advantage. Lycett gets one more week before BAM!!!

to be truthful, i made a late change Thursday morning which saw Rocky go out to bring Bartel in. I have $120k sitting around which couldve upgraded KK but i just didnt think of it!
