Thought I'd kick this off to keep the teams thread a bit cleaner...... Score update: A tight battle on King Island sees the Monarchs 8/671/84 leading the visiting Sandgropers 7/595/85.2 teams with top 4 aspirations look like playing out a tight match.

 

Here in downtown Banchang, the 1st round of the ORFFU season is underway, and the Barcrawlers are playing host to the Gisborne Grenades. Unfortunately the Grenades have been dealt a serious blow in that3 of their on field players have succumbed to food poisoning, prior to the match,which leaves them with only 12 on the field, and a difficult task in front of them, especially as their reserves are at home 12000klms away, enjoying a coffee latte in beautifulrural Gisborne. At 1/2 time in the 2015 Masters v Apprentice's Cup, the home team are up 9/874/97.1 to the Grenades 6/500/83.33, with the Banchang defence holding firm (McGovern 145, Docherty 147) and the forwards kicking a winnable score (Blair 107, Adams 98, Lloyd 92). The Grenades have been well served by the Cat's reject 91, the West Coast ponytail 93,'Mullet' with 82 and Nick's cousin, 89 The 2nd half is yet to commence......

Gonna be a close one.... Jack's 126 and Shiels 136 gonna be tough to crack! Bunyips final score 1297 Prairie Dogs Final Score 1128 What a great game first up for these two teams. The Bunyips were well behind until D Pearce and R Gray decided to step up and crack well over the tons. This is going to be a fantastic season if this first round is anything to go by. First scalp goes to the reigning Big Tap winner... well done Sauce.

 

It's 3/4 time at the Stadium in Banchang and the undermanned visiting Grenades are trailing the dominant Barcrawlers 14/904/64.6 to 12/1129/94.1 And with only one player (Lake)still to figure for the visitors, then it's a win to the Home team to start their 2015 campaign, who still have Selwood, Hodge and Suckling to compete.

 

OK people.....it's very late Sunday night and only 1 game to go to the completion of Rd1.......and only E-E, Tomster, marty and myself have provided updates on our various teams.........so I haven't got a clue how all the ORFFU teams are going.........I know it's Easter and all that and most people have family commitments, but fair dinkum blokes, you can't afford 5 minutes Saturday and 5 minutes Sunday to post your scores.To say I'm disappointed,is an understatement. I certainly hope this improves come Rd2.........

 

Not much of a much occurring up north in Cow Bay with Eden running rings around the young Crocs even with the output of Whalers Murphy and Griffen below par. The Whalers currently hold a 206 point lead with 14 players played compared to 13 for the Crocs. Only 3 players have hit 3 figures in this match with Pavlich (132), Rich (126) and #2 pick Miles (109) leading the way. <div>

Score update from Bunyip Park, blinders by Pearce and Gray has pushed theBunyips out toa strong lead 1210 to 795, but the game is not over yet. The Prairie Dogs have 5 players yet to play and the Bunyips have 1, should be tight finish. The new coach of the Prairie Dogs looking for his first win and has pumped up his players for a performance which should provide the coach his inaugural win as the new coach.

As it's Easter and he's been away, then he'll probably get around to it tomorrow sometime I would think. So don't change your team in tsLeagues in preparation for rd2 until the scores have been uploaded.
