SC Gold team picker has been out for a while and for those without it there are other avenues. Let's start a pre-Christmas sharing of ideas and thoughts.
Hi Len, I can't put my team up like that because I don't know how. B/ Dock Adams Laird Hibberd McGrath Collins Scharenburg perryman M/Danger Pendles Bont Heppell Beams D Swallow Pepper-P Myers Berry Bolton Graham R/Gawn Nic Nat Cameron F/Dahl ryder Roughie Ainsworth Florent Venables brown battle. Still a work in progress.
Fixed Looks like a promising start, think Adams Laird Myers and the Bont will be in a lot of teams I've already gone off Carlisle, but I have at least 72 versions to do before I start with the wrong one
Like all prematurely selected teams they are all subject to pre season and ultimately selection. Thanks for the directions for snip & paste, first time I've done it, it was a bit of a hoot on my old bang and jump computer windows 7, love Barry Halls football intellect he's a one of a kind.
Not sure I can see myself picking Adams. In his 5 seasons so far, he's played 15, 16, 12, 18 and 14 games. His scoring potential as a defender obviously appeals to people, but history says he won't play enough games to be a worthwhile choice.
I would expect Bontempelli's SC scoring to be impacted by the banning of 3rd-man-up at ruck contests. His 2016 GF SC score included 6 effective HO to advantage for instance, which won't be possible in 2017. Still a gun and will be consistently a good scorer, but may not present as much value as others for start of 2017.
I'm 42 versions on but still have Laird, Myers and Bontempelli, tbh I'd forgotten about him and the 3rd man up issue. I have Parker also atm, Bont 63 (just under 3 per game) for the year, Parker 35 (approx 1.5 per game), I read somewhere both ran at about 40% successful so approx 6 and 3 ppg respectively. Do they get more clearances though if they aren't jumping? Not sure how to weight it. Be nice to see which rucks were most attached by a 3rd man, that's an area of obvious improvement and likely to make Sandi even harder to resist as I suspect he'd be one..
Just saw my team posted 20/12, not surprisingly a shadow of it's former self, although it doesn't look too bad.
Hi all, knowing Sandi has a calf strain - I am still prepared to have him at this stage. I think he is just priced too low for what he can do. (I will however reserve my right to change my mind one day out from the start of Round 1 - if he's too far gone) The rookies are unknown at this stage and will depend on the JLT games. Others under the lens will be Mckenzie & Marchbank, Menegola, Elliot & McCarthy. Only have $6K left so changes will be tight. Lost early ground last year due to a non-existent Capt loophole strategy. Looking around the sites, the use of Strnadica seems to be the most popular (and probably most cost effective) way of having a decent crack at the loophole. Going that way sort of forces to have either Ryder or Boyd.
