    Draft Guru's pick calculator says 12 and 16 plus 57 equals 2, points wise.
    It's not really a question of doing better than the pros, it's need based.

    I did it a couple of years ago, traded back from pick 2 or 3 purely to get three specific players; Blakely, Weller and Daniel, all three paid off, two of those became good currency to upgrade my team elsewhere and the third looks a steal and will be a long term Misfit, if you back yourself in and pays off it's a great outcome.

    I just think it's circumstance based, this year in the FA I am not doing it as I want a specific player at 2.

    Ironically, I think the last time I had pick 2 in FA I selected JOR.

    After a thorough review of Mt Thirstys list, the following players are available for trade. Some will slot straight into the starting teams for those in the premiership window, for others, a low draft pick maybe all they are worth.

    Available are;
    Travis Boak, Sam Mitchell, Brendan Goddard, Sam Gibson, Brett Deledio, as well as Brooksby, Nick Smith, Mitch Brown (bombers), Drew Petrie.
    Im open to any offers so get the ball rolling.

    For those who think they are on the cusp, Scott Thompson may appeal, we WILL delist him, so if you like him as a best 15 or insurance hit me witha a PSD pick where he will be taken before you get the chance, zero interest in any other currency.

    To round this out (I didn't realise we only have 9 days to go) Cockburn will delist 4 to meet the 24 maximum list size, they will be;

    Ibbotson - Complete spud, I dare you to bid on him while we all secretly (or openly) laugh
    Thomas - Making him a mid only is clearly draft tampering by CD, as if he has any value there at all

    Then we have the forced delists, I'd rather keep but have to drop to meet the numeric requirement;
    Alex Neil Bullen - The prospectus agrees, this guy can star given opportunity, will he get opportunity is the unanswered question.
    Scott Thompson - He clearly has at least one and possibly more years of 27+ possession 90+ point games left him, if you need a M5 or 6, this is your guy.

    The first two have zero value.
    The second two I'd like a R6 and R5 pick for respectively.

    Mole Creek will be moving on the following players this season. Will accept a deep pick in either draft :rolleyes:
    • Ryan LESTER FWD
    • Paul SEEDSMAN MID
    • Ivan Maric RUC
    • Ciaran Byrne DEF
    Also available is Craig Bird avg. 80 mid - would take a mid MSD pick for him

    After heavy trading. The boozers now have to start to cull. The following are all available for draft picks or a backup forward or ruckman. Some are going a lot cheaper than others. Happy to bundle a couple of players for draft picks too.

    Defenders
    Nick Smith, K. Brooksby, Mark Baguley
    Mids
    Sam Gibson, Rischitelli, Jack Trengove Melb
    Forwards
    MItch Brown ess, Drew Petrie, Travis Cloke
    Rucks
    Matthew Lobbe, Daniel Gorringe

    definitely a steal for Neptune Island at MSD 29-32 range

    I had missed the post mentioning Byrne was on the block until late last night but was surprised he would be getting cut and would have thought others needing a young defender would have been making MUCH better offers

    Well the huge number of offers that rolled in since my original post on Feb 3 bamboozled me obviously.

    With ZERO other action or bids I took an offer that is roughly equivalent to where I got him last MSD before he promptly did an ACL that will see him miss most of this season.
    Is it unders? Maybe. But I know there are going to be some tough cuts pre-deadline and my thought process is to get an asset back where possible rather than delisting for nothing.

    A few Whales have been told to polish up their CV's as their chances of staying past the de-listment deadline are not looking great. Having just bought houses on Macquarie Island and moved their families down a few are rather put out and super motivated to prove the list managers wrong in 2017. At Macquarie Island we look after our players and want to see them all find new clubs (some I think have a much better chance than others).

    The players on offer are:
    Liam Picken (MID) - averaged 85 last year & played all 22
    Daniel Currie (RUC)
    Easton Wood (BAC)

    Andrew Mackie (BAC)
    Tory Dickson (FWD)
    Jacob Townsend (MID, FWD) - Dual position, only 23

    If you want to beat the draft and get an offer in I am receptive to draft picks in either PSD or MSD, or if a player if they are good enough to slot into my starting 15. This isn't a final list, there still might be changes but putting it out there for offers as all of these players are currently not essential.

    Walpole wishes to announce for teams wanting a ruckman that Tom Campbell, Billy Longer and Tom Bellchambers are all up for trade. Others may be up for trade too, just enquire.

    Also looking to do draft pick exchanges to improve order in early rounds. Woylies currently have: 1 17 18 33 49 65 81

    We have changed our plan.

    A stringent list review says Thompson stays, Stewart goes with an eye to relisting him at the appropriate pick.

    I'm also after any draft picks under pick 60, so happy to hear any offers.

    lol, I actually rate him, but I am too shallow in other lines and too deep in fwds for Thompson to make sense.
    He needs to learn mongrel, he has the skills but plays too polite
