In ORFFF Round 11, the action was hotter than a sausage sizzle on Australia Day! The Sherwood Magpies took flight against the Heard Island Shags, but it was the Shags who were left feeling chirpy, snagging themselves a close win. Meanwhile, the Drouin Dropbears faced off against the Walpole Woylies in a battle of the beasts. It was a nail-biter to the end, but the Dropbears clawed their way to victory by a whisker. But hold onto your Akubras, folks, because the real spectacle was the showdown between the Black Swamp 29ers and the Useless Loop Virgins. The 29ers may have been up to their knees in mud, but they emerged victorious, proving that sometimes you just have to get a little dirty to win. As for the Jan Juc Ducks, they found themselves paddling upstream against the Mt Thirsty Boozers. But try as they might, the Ducks couldn't quack their way to victory, as the Boozers raised their glasses high in celebration. Over in the Nangkita Bucks' camp, horns were honking as they faced off against the Maralinga Atoms. It was a clash of titans, but in the end, the Bucks came out on top, proving that sometimes brute force is the best strategy. But the real surprise of the round came from the Stony Ponys, who found themselves in over their hooves against the Neptune Island Noahs. The Ponys may have been trotting with confidence, but the Noahs rode in on a wave of success, leaving the Ponys in their wake. And let's not forget the Wedge Island White Pointers, who sank their teeth into the Port Lincoln Power. The Pointers were sharp and focused, leaving the Power feeling a bit powerless in comparison. Finally, the Macquarie Island Whales faced off against the Rutherglen Fugitives in a battle of the brutes. It was a whale of a time, but in the end, the Whales breached the surface with a victory splash, leaving the Fugitives floundering. So there you have it, folks! ORFFF Round 11 was a wild ride from start to finish, with twists and turns that even a kangaroo would envy. Until next time, keep your boots on and your eyes on the scoreboard!
