    Around the Comps.

We've gone from the 2 main comps, in SC and DT, with the dedicated ones playing Sportsbet - To an absolute plethora of games out there, with prizes as good, or supassing the big two.

So let's take a look around the grounds and see what's out there.

    <div style='float: right;]<img alt='' style='width: 300px;' src='http://2012.cloudfront.cdn.vapormedia.com/global_2013/news/afl/fantasy/masthead.png?v=1.0[/img]
    <h2>SuperCoach

Supercoach, it might not be the original, but the best. Featuring black box SC scoring, that rewards quality of disposal, over quantity, it's the gold standard when comparing other games.

Prize: $50,000 CASH + $1,000 per week for the highest score.

    Trades: 30 Trades

    Rolling Lockout: Yes

    <div style='float: right;]<img alt='' style='width: 300px;' src='http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/c278.0.403.403/p403x403/63988_10151303781676417_542048530_n.jpg[/img]
    <h2>AFL Fantasy

The original. Dreamteam is now AFL Fantasy and it's back this year with a bigger prize than ever before. Quantity over quality, so it's a win when your team chips it to each other, regardless of the team they are actually kicking it to.

Prize: $50,000 CASH + 1 + 1 double pass to the footy for the weekly high scorer + A double pass for the 'Ultimate Grand Final Day' for the highest weekly score for the year.

Trades: 2 Per week, use them or lose them.

    Rolling Lockout: No

    <h2>AFL Fantasy Matchday

Played on a week by week basis, you're given a game to buy players from- highest score for the week wins.

Prize: Four passes (for you and 3 mates) to attend the Premiership Club at the MCG in 2014, for the relevant Match Day game where you top-scored. + 2 x AFL memberships for the 2014 AFL season

    Trades: N/A

    Rolling Lockout: N/A

    <h2>Sportal

It's a little bit Supercoach, rewarding contested possessions while punishing clangers and a little bit DT allowing you to count along at home.

    Prize: $25,500 CASH + $1,000 CASH for the weekly high scorer ($1,500 for rounds 21, 22, 23)

    Trades: 30 Trades

    Rolling Lockout: No

    <div style='float: right;]<img alt='' style='width: 300px;' src='http://centrebet.com/content/promos/NRLandAFL-promo_669x197_withbtn.jpg[/img]
    <h2>Centrebet

It's definitely the most expensive comp out there. In fact, the prizes are so juicy, that you'd be a fool not to apply your knowledge and have a crack!

Prize: $70,000 CASH + $5,000 for SECOND + $2,500 for THIRD + $10,000 CASH for the highest weekly score of the year + $1,500 CASH for the highest weekly score each week.

    Trades: 30 Trades

    Rolling Lockout: Yes

    <div style='float: right;]<img alt='' style='width: 300px;' src='http://tooserious.net/Portals/0/User%20Images/sportsbet.png[/img]
    <h2>Sportsbet

The old #3 in terms of fantasy football, fallen well of the pace in terms of prizes this year, though they do pay out weekly and monthly free bets which is nice.

    Prize: $5,000 Freebet + $2,500 Freebet for 2nd + $1,000 Freebet for 3rd + $500 Freebet for 4th + $250 Freebet for 5th. + Weekly and Monthly freebets for the top 5 ranking teams.

    Trades: 30 Trades

    Rolling Lockout: No

    <div style='float: right;]<img alt='' style='width: 300px;' src='http://www.footytips.com.au/images/footytips_web_v3/logo.png[/img]
    <h2>Footytips

It's a very different comp, with no loadings on rookies, and barely any bench coverage. It does however, have a lot of trades to work with- and judging by prior years, a lot of salary growth, starting from just 1 game played.

You also have the ability to add me to your leagues as one of the Experts, which is pretty nice.

Prize: An iPad mini for the overall winner, and the highest weekly score of the year.

Trades: 2 trades a week, with more available at the cost of points.

    Rolling Lockout: Yes

    <h2>Stadium Sports

An interesting concept, much like the AFL Fantasy Matchday competition- but opened up, allowing anyone to create their own competitions and prizes. It's opened with 2 games this week, and considering the number of entries, excellent prize money!

Prize: $1,000 CASH for the ADE v ESS game + $500 for the FRE v WCE game

    Trades: N/A

    Rolling Lockout: N/A

As you can see, there is a lot of movement on the fantasy landscape this year, and a lot more dollars being put on the line for us, the average punter. #Winning

We here at TooSerious, like to think of ourselves as providing a team management platform for you guys, to help you track, and plan for the multitude of teams that you have these days, and to that end, we've got the MyTeams stuff

MyTeams in companionship with the Stats pages can provide a heck of a lot to your playing experience, from reporting late outs/green vests (for your rolling lockout comps) and B/E and Salary prediction models for all of the Virtual sports competitions (Though currently, the Sportal/Centrebet/Sportsbet comps are behind the Donor wall)

If you can think of ways that we can make your gaming experience even better, please, let us know- otherwise, the one thing I'd love to hear:

How many teams have you got this year?
