With Joe Daniher failing to make the trip West he is still on the bubble and a decent option this week, but doesn't get another crack at the Best Buy spot.

Barlow has been in excellent form but has a broken jaw and may still miss, while Cotch is offering great value and is likely the cheapest we'll see him. Both teams are set for finals action this year, and are both facing reasonable runs home, making either one (if they both play) a solid choice for the remainder of the year.

    DEFENSE
    ROOKIES

    Mitchell Clisby (MEL) DEF 96.2k 66 +61k
Clisby proved a decent choice for those that took the risk and jumped on a week early, managing a decent 60 to bring himself on the bubble. Looking at a 60 grand price rise this week, he seems quite likely to get a good amount of games for the remainder of the season and could be a good downgrade for Terlich.

    MID-PRICERS

Trent MCKENZIE (GCS) DEF 477.5k 97
The Cannon has put in a good season so far, managing a solid average of 97 although he did miss the first few games. Priced at under 480 grand he looks like a good POD, he has so far made it into only around 9,000 teams and is averaging 105 over his last 3 games.

    PREMIUMS

    Bryce Gibbs (CAR) D/M 531.6k 106
Gibbs has been in great form since returning from his injury induced rest, averaging 123 in his last 3 matches and adapting well to increased midfield time. Still in around 120,000 squads Gibbs is already a popular pick, but if he continues to make the most of his new role he will be a solid one for those without him.

Garrick Ibbotson (FRE) DEF 512.1k 103
Ibbo continues to impress, now averaging 103 for the season after managing a nice 113 over his last 3 games. Now in around 27,000 teams he will be a fairly popular choice for final defensive upgrades but with Freo welcoming back Sandi and Pav as well as Mundy it will be interesting to see how their structures change.

Robert Murphy (WBD) DEF 504.5k 98
Bob Murphy has come into a patch of good form, averaging 115 over his last 3 games to bring his years average up to 98. At just over 500 grand he is probably slightly over-priced but if his current form continues he is well worth it, and with under 4,000 selections he has good POD value.

    MIDFIELD
    ROOKIES

    Bradley McKenzie (NM) MID 115.9k 58 +45k
Brad McKenzie has gone under the radar a bit, sneaking onto the bubble this week with an average of 58. With a 45 grand price rise coming he looks a decent rookie option but probably not worth trading a Mitchell or Crouch out for.

    Lachlan Hunter (WBD) MID 109.5k 47 +33k
Hunter looked great in his first match for the Doggies, before a sub-effected 8 in his second game dropped his average to 47. Still facing a 30+ grand price rise after his next match he will likely be ignored by the vast majority.

    Brandon Jack (SYD) MID 96.2k 39 +25k
The younger Jack has looked pretty good so far in his first 2 games to bring him to the bubble, but again is probably not worth trading out one of the gun midfield rookies for. Likely to rise around 25 grand after his next game he has shown good potential but is still a ways off being particularly fantasy-relevant.

    MID-PRICERS

Trent Cotchin (RIC) MID 499.5k 108
Cotch has slowed down a bit after a great start to the year, seeing him drop in price to now be just under 500 grand. He's still averaging 108, and is still in 80,000 teams, so he is a safer option and offers quite good value. Will be key to the Tigers finals hopes.

Travis Boak (PTA) MID 489.8k 105
Boak has really taken a step up this year, along with a swag of other Port players, but when they're in the kind of form that allows them to beat Sydney and Collingwood it's pretty understandable. Averaging 105 for the year and priced at a touch under 490 grand Boak is looking like a lock for next season and a good POD for this one, as he's only in around 9,000 teams to date.

Tom LIBERATORE (WBD) MID 507.8k 102
Libba has had a good season overall this year, albeit a little up and down in patches. Averaging 123 for his last 3 games he has rewarded the faith of the 9,000 odd coaches with him, and brought his average up to 102 for the year. Looking at a 25+ grand price rise next week Libba looks like a good POD for cover, but the Dogs do have a fairly tough draw from here.

    PREMIUMS
Gary Ablett (GCS) MID 687.9k 136
Gazza scored an un-Gazza like 115 over the weekend which will see him drop in price around 6 grand this week if he hits his average. A 115 isn't exactly shocking though, and still easily eclipses the efforts of guys like Heater, Selwood and Rocky, so the teams biding their time to bring him in probably won't change their plans over it. Closing in on the 200,000 selections mark Gazza is still the best player around by a long shot.

Ryan Griffen (WBD) MID 670.5k 128
Griffen continued his great form, keeping his 3 game average at 140 and rewarding those that have jumped on recently. Almost 10,000 coaches brought him in for his 148 against the Dee's, but that still leaves him in under 20,000 teams so far this year. It's not often that a bloke scoring this highly stays a POD like Griffen has, but he is very close to the top of his price range.

Scott Pendlebury (COL) MID 624.5k 127
Pendles has been a consistent performer this year and consistently in the Best Buys. Averaging 127 he is the general of the Pies midfield, and a likely choice for their next captain, and also one of the most popular SC picks going around.

Jobe Watson (ESS) MID 554.6k 117
Jobe had a great game amidst a chorus of boos last week, but it has to be said is under a fair bit of a cloud currently. Priced at just over 550 grand and in almost 100,000 teams so far his ability to pump out big scores will likely entice a few more, in the knowledge that if something does happen to him at least they won't be alone in their pain.

Patrick Dangerfield (ADE) MID 605.9k 116
Dangerfield started the season slowly, causing a fair few coaches to trade him out, but is now looking back to his best averaging 129 over his last 3 games. Still a popular choice in around 75,000 sides Danger has the ability to produce, but like quite a few younger choices his consistency can still be an issue. Will likely go up by round 20 grand this week.

Michael BARLOW (FRE) MID 604.1k 115
Barlow has been in ripping form recently, but then breaking his jaw and disappearing for a week. He may or may not make it back for this weekend, but if he does his 135 average over the last 3 games he played will surely cause a few to bring him in. Again with the return of a few of Freo's offensive weapons in Mundy, Sandi and Pav their structure may change a bit over the coming weeks, but Barlow and his 28,000 coaches should be fairly safe.

    RUCK
    ROOKIES

    Dawson Simpson (GEE) RUC 198k 85 +58k
Simpson, as stated before, isn't really a rookie but he is priced at just under 200 grand and on the bubble this week so we're calling it close enough. The Cats appear to have ruckmen lining up to return over the next few weeks which may well shake things up, but if Simpson can keep averaging 85 odd you would hope he'd earn a spot. A relatively risky option, the majority of coaches will probably stick with the likes of Gawn and Nicholls.

    MID-PRICERS

Ben McEvoy (StK) RUC 442.2k 100
McEvoy continues to bounce up and down with his scoring, belting out a 120 last week to bring his seasons average back up to 100. Priced at under 450 grand he has the potential to score well regularly, but just can't seem to manage it. Only in around 15,000 teams he is a relative POD, but as his average is over 10 ppg lower than some of the similar options it's understandable why.

    PREMIUMS

Will Minson (WBD) RUC 534.3k 113
Wilbur is still in the Best Buys, and is still looking a decent value pick. Averaging 113 and facing a small price rise this week the Dogs draw toughens up over the remainder of the year but Big Will probably won't mind. Still only in around 25,000 teams and a reasonable POD, Minson has been a regular performer this season.

    Jarryd Roughead (HAW) R/F 543.3k 102
Roughie has come into some good form recently, averaging 116 over his last 3 matches to bring his seasons average up to 102. With DPP he offers a bit better value than otherwise, but it must be said due to his recent form he is overpriced for his overall average.

    FORWARD
    ROOKIES

    Joe Daniher (ESS) FWD 154.5k 77 +60k
Daniher, if he is named this week, is still looking like a great option, but you only get one chance to mess up the Best Buy. Daniher has great hands and looks a likely type up forward, and was supposedly dropped for structure against the West Coast ruckmen. As was pointed out in the comments however, Essendon do play the Eagles again in a few rounds so there is a decent chance he'll be out again for that one.

    Matthew Taberner (FRE) FWD 114.2k 32 +12k
Taberner has been decent for Freo, but hasn't really set the world on fire and may well make way for some of the big name inclusions out west. Facing only a 12 grand price rise it will probably be a good idea to hold off on Taberner for another week if interested, to see how solid his position is in the Freo line-up.

    MID-PRICERS

Kurt Tippett (SYD) FWD 462.8k 97
Tippett made a good debut for the Swans, after enduring a long stint on the sidelines for salary cap and contract issues, and backed it up with a solid game against Carlton. The Swans have been missing several key talls from their structure however, and it will be interesting to see how he goes when they're back to full strength. Averaging 97 and on the bubble this week, he'd surely be a POD but definitely a risky one.

Jack Riewoldt (RIC) FWD 441.5k 90
JRoo has had an uncertain role this season, sometimes being the key point up front and others simply running defenders around. This has seen him average a less-than stellar 90 for the year, but his recent form has been improving. Averaging 106 from the last 3 he has started to fire, and with the Tigers draw coming up he will need to. Priced at under 450 grand and in around 30,000 teams JRoo is a bit of a risk but a decent one.

Nick Riewoldt (StK) FWD 480.5k 106
From one Riewoldt to another, with NRoo impressing earlier and getting picked up by almost 30,000 coaches before deciding to spud it up for a while. Now priced at around 480 grand, but still averaging 106 for the year, NRoo is a decent choice with value but needs to lift his game again.

Lance Franklin (HAW) FWD 489.4k 93
Buddy is still slowly returning to 100+ scoring, averaging 93 now but facing a small price drop this week. In over 160,000 teams now, Buddy is more of a negative POD at this stage.

    PREMIUMS

    Jimmy Bartel (GEE) M/F 539.6k 110
It's a bit of a poor week for premium forwards, with only Abrtel really offering good value. Priced at under 540 grand and averaging 110 for the season Jimmy is already in over 100,000 teams, and his final-quarter antics usually see him reward them with good scores.

    WAITING LIST

    Andrew Walker (CAR) M/F 535.8k 108 -20k
    Joel Selwood (GEE) MID 519.2k 105 -8k
    Nic Naitanui (WCE) R/F 561.3k 104 -20k
