This week we have some solid ins like Stevie J, to counter the loss of guys like Hanley and possibly Buddy, but in general the better options seem to be getting less and less. With an expanded selection of POD's this week however the Best Buys is once again here to answer your trading needs, and help you get set for the finals.

The Cannon, dubbed such for his booming left-foot, is growing into an excellent fantasy football player, and as a defender helps to bolster one of the weaker looking SC lines currently. A good run home in an improving side make mcKenzie a great smokie, and the skills of some of his teammates surely can't hurt either.
DEFENSE
ROOKIES
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=2097&name=Mark Whiley">Mark Whiley (GWS) DEF 173k 39 +6k
Whiley has performed acceptably for GWS in his first 2 games, although his average of 39 isn't particularly awe-inspiring. On the bubble this week but already priced fairly highly the majority of coaches looking for a defender will be bringing in premiums this week. Whiley is facing a 6 grand price-rise.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=2101&name=Gerald Ugle">Gerald Ugle (GWS) DEF 123.1k 37 +16k
Ugle is similar to Whiley, except around 50 grand cheaper. Uncertain job security and a low average of just 37, he probably won't be on many radars, and is only looking at a 16 grand price-rise.
MID-PRICERS
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=1076&name=Trent MCKENZIE">Trent MCKENZIE (GCS) DEF 461.8k 96
The Best Buy of the week, McKenzie has been in good form and has developed well this season so far. An outstanding boot and a good understanding of the game have put the young Sun in fine stead for the rest of his career, and he looks like being an SC gun of the future. Priced well at just over 460 grand and averaging 96 for the year he looks a good replacement for Hanley and a POD with under 10,000 selections so far.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=1137&name=Michael HIBBERD">Michael HIBBERD (ESS) DEF 434.3k 95
Hibberd is back in the Best Buys this week, but hasn't quite hit the heights he was achieving in the early stages of the season. Now averaging 95 and playing consistently good footy he is definitely one to watch for next year and has served his 33,000 coaches well so far this year.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=126&name=Corey Enright">Corey Enright (GEE) DEF 479.9k 94
Enright bounced back with a good game against the Crows, pushing his average to 94 for the year and giving him a decent price-rise to look for next week. Averaging 94 and priced at about 480 grand he offers decent value, and with around 18,000 selections to date, he looks like a decent POD.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=511&name=Alex Rance">Alex Rance (RIC) DEF 468.7k 89
Rance is another to have fired in a big way over the weekend, looking more the player coaches were locking in pre-season and less the spud many were worried he was becoming. In only 6,000 teams so far and with a high ceiling Rance offers great POD value and will be looking to solidify the Tigers spot in the 8 for finals.
PREMIUMS
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=749&name=Scott D. Thompson">Scott D. Thompson (NM) DEF 506.1k 99
Scotty T has been excellent for the Roos this season. Averaging 99 and priced at just over 500 grand he is around the mark value-wise but also has some good POD value with around 15,000 coaches enjoying his 126 on the weekend.
MIDFIELD
ROOKIES
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=2288&name=Adam Carter">Adam Carter (WCE) MID 109.5k 50 +37k
Another young rookie to sneak onto the bubble this week is Adam Carter from West Coast. Averaging 50 over his first 2 games he is a bit better prospect then the defenders but has to contend with the likes of Crouch and Mitchell for a spot. Looking at a 37 grand price rise he seems decent value but won't be too popular.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=2209&name=Caolan Mooney">Caolan Mooney (COL) MID 115.9k 33 +13k
The Irish Pie fits in better with the defensive rookies, averaging 33 so far and looking at a 13 grand price rise. Again he has to contend with the elite&rdquo; rookies and probably won't get many picks, but could be serviceable if you're desperate. Collingwood probably won't play too many rookies from here though.
MID-PRICERS
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=273&name=Kieren Jack">Kieren Jack (SYD) MID 533.8k 111
Jack continues to perform for the Swans, and the 23,000 coaches with him in their side, averaging 111 for the year and outdoing the considerably more popular JPK. The Swans have a tough run to the finals, playing Geelong, Hawthorn and Collingwood, but have proven they can match it with the best of them.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=486&name=Trent Cotchin">Trent Cotchin (RIC) MID 518.5k 110
Cotch is back in the good books after a great outing against the Dockers on the weekend, bringing his average back to 110 and giving his price a healthy boost in the process. Now priced at a little under 520 grand he still provides good value but is also still in around 85,000 teams and won't be much of a POD.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=281&name=Leigh Montagna">Leigh Montagna (StK) MID 514.2k 109
Joey has had a great year this year, with the exception of a few quiet games he has been in ripping form and is still in only 4,000 sides. There is a worry with the Saints that they may start to rest more stars to get games into younger players, but if any Saint deserves a Guernsey this year it's Montagna.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=545&name=Jack Steven">Jack Steven (StK) MID 548.4k 107
Steven is following closely in Joey's footsteps so far, averaging 107 for the season and taking his game to a new level. In just over 5,000 sides he just pips Joey for selections numbers but is probably higher on pure potential. Under 550 grand and certainly a player to watch Steven may provide the finals boost many SC sides are looking for.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=385&name=Richard Douglas">Richard Douglas (ADE) MID 493.6k 106
Douglas has really stepped it up this year, improving his averages across the board and has now apparently stepped up another level with Danger out for a while. Averaging 106 and facing a 15 grand price rise this week Douglas offers great POD value in only 2,500 squads so far. Compare that to Dangers still 50,000+.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=481&name=Travis Boak">Travis Boak (PTA) MID 505.9k 105
Boak didn't quite perform as well as a few were hoping over the weekend, but is still looking like decent value. Averaging 105 and priced at just over 500 grand he is still a solid competitor and is fighting to keep the Power's finals dreams alive. Now in just under 10,000 teams he offers a good POD, but will probably be best served as cover.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=1160&name=Tom LIBERATORE">Tom LIBERATORE (WBD) MID 530.7k 103
Little Libba has been good this year, really developing in the Doggies midfield to the point that he is now one of the leading tap-to players in the league in tandem with big Will. Priced at 530 grand and averaging 103 he is a bit over-priced, especially when compared to others in the Best Buys, but has also proven that he has the potential to make it worthwhile. Still in under 8,000 teams Libba is a decent POD, but would again probably be best as cover.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=115&name=Chris Masten">Chris Masten (WCE) MID 514.6k 102
Masten is generally around the Best Buys mark, but often doesn't quite scrape in. This week however he does, priced at 515 grand and averaging 102 for the season. The Toasters will be in for a tough run home, and with NicNat seemingly out of sorts it could well be made harder, but Masten is the kind of player capable of standing up under pressure. Currently in only 2,500 teams he offers great POD value but is in that many teams for a reason.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=667&name=Daniel Hannebery">Daniel Hannebery (SYD) MID 488.8k 102
Dan Hannebery has been interesting this season, dominating when on his game but still throwing in the occasional quiet ones. A real chance to take out the most-brownlow-votes-per-team for the Swans this year his polling popularity is yet to be matched by his SC numbers which are sitting around the 25,000 mark. Priced well for his average and capable of massive games, Dan makes a great POD.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=296&name=Marc Murphy">Marc Murphy (CAR) MID 376k 92
SMurph has been slow recovering from his broken jaw, and according to Doc Larkin last week also suffering a tight buttock&rdquo;, but appears to be getting back into the swing of things. Now priced at a bargain basement 376 grand he offers a straight swap from a cashed-out midfield cow and should be excellent finals cover. Looking at a 20 grand price rise this week for his 18,000 coaches Murph could well be waited on bit will likely only go up from here.
PREMIUMS
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=806&name=Michael BARLOW">Michael BARLOW (FRE) MID 579.1k 114
Barlow, while facing a small price drop this week, has been in great form recently. Now averaging 114 for the season and priced at just under 580 grand he looks a great option, and with under 35,000 selections so far has some solid POD credentials. A proven gun and probable B&F winner this year Barlow has the skills to keep the big scores coming, as long as Freo doesn't fall apart like against the Tigers.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=244&name=Joel Selwood">Joel Selwood (GEE) MID 572.7k 112
Ducky's price is still on the rise, but is also still quite affordable at under 575 grand. Averaging 112 for the year and leading the Cats as usual he has seemed to be effected more by tagging at times this season but was still a worthwhile pick-up for the 90,000 coaches with him currently.

Josh Hall has been serviceable for the Suns, averaging 54 in his 2 first-up games to bring him to the bubble with a 35 grand price rise. With Dixon close to a return Hall's job security remains questionable, as Nicholls seems to be relishing in the number one big-man position.
MID-PRICERS
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=535&name=Dawson Simpson">Dawson Simpson (GEE) RUC 374.9k 102 +68k
Simpson has been somewhat of a revelation so far, dominating in the ruck for the Cats and surprising many SCers along the way. Averaging 102 in his limited game-time this season and priced at under 375 grand he is looking better and better as back-up each week. As a coach who selected Blicavs over him in a draft-keeper league however, I for one am kind of hoping that this form can't last for the 8,000 coaches with him currently.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=196&name=Ivan Maric">Ivan Maric (RIC) RUC 467.4k 96
The Mullet has been pretty poor this year when compared to last, with injuries and more opposition attention being the main culprits. He seems to be back on the park, for now, and his 32,000 coaches are certainly happy with that, but he may be best left with Sauce Jacobs to cover the bench.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=643&name=Zachary Clarke">Zachary Clarke (FRE) RUC 418.5k 92
Clarke started the season well, with Sandi injured, but hasn't really taken full advantage. Sandi is available again this week, but his fitness levels remain pretty unknown. Averaging 92 for the year and priced at under 420 grand Clarke offers solid value for the 7,000 coaches with him currently but he is far from reliable.
PREMIUMS
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=321&name=Matthew Kreuzer">Matthew Kreuzer (CAR) RUC 546.1k 99
Kreuz keeps on, well, Kreuzing I guess. Another good outing saw his average lift to 99, and his price to about the 550 grand mark, with around 25,000 coaches cheering him on. Vital to the Blues finals aspirations the big man has stepped up his game lately, and is clearly one of the best Blues each week. While the run home isn't that tough for Carlton from here, they can still be expected to stumble at the last hurdle.

Roo is again in the Best Buys, with an average of 107 and a price of just over 475 grand though he's really quite hard to ignore. One of the few Saints to have a good year so far Nick was in career-best form for a while before dropping off a bit and now coming on again strong. With around 30,000 selections so far Roo is a reasonable POD, and certainly worth a look.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=35&name=Andrew Walker">Andrew Walker (CAR) M/F 494.7k 107
Walks is still playing some good footy, but is also still struggling occasionally with the added attention it brings. Back to his footy roots and playing in defense he takes most kick-outs and has damaging disposal, making him a valuable fantasy prospect. A current price of just under 500 grand and an average of 107 makes Walks hard to go past, as his 75,000 selections so far prove.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=482&name=Travis Cloke">Travis Cloke (COL) FWD 457.8k 97
Choke or Cloke, however you want to pronounce it, has been better this season to last but is still struggling with his kicking. Bucks called him out on this after the loss to the Suns however and Travis will be looking to make amends over the coming weeks, but whether he actually can or not is anyone's guess. Priced at a good near 460 grand and averaging 97 for the season he hasn't really fired so far, but hasn't been the biggest disappointment for his 50,000 coaches either.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=252&name=Jordan Lewis">Jordan Lewis (HAW) M/F 462.3k 96
Lewis hasn't made the Best Buys much this season after a great year in 2012, but has still been producing footy at a decent level. Averaging 96 for the year and priced at a decent 460 grand he offers some good value and has relatively little attention so far with under 20,000 selections. While Buddy continues to struggle, a Hawthorn forward might be a smart investment.

Stevie J has returned, again, from suspension. Averaging 119 and priced at under 585 grand he offers great value, especially for a forward, and will be in a few more teams then the 70,000 he's in currently by the end of the weekend. His suspension issues, combined with the occasional injury, mean that Stevie is a high-risk/high-reward type player but when he does play it usually pays off.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=76&name=Brent Harvey">Brent Harvey (NM) M/F 511.1k 104
Boomer is still enjoying the effects of a late start to the season, averaging 104 for the year and priced at just over 510 grand. A poorish score on the weekend in a close loss doesn't really help things, but the North veteran will likely bounce back again this week. Currently in around 26,000 teams Boomer has some reasonable POD value but nowhere near the level of some of the others here.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=173&name=Drew Petrie">Drew Petrie (NM) FWD 517.8k 102

Priced at under 520 grand Droopy is around the mark price-wise, but the Kanga's may start to look to rest more senior players as their year winds down. Around 14,000 coaches are backing him in however, and he has the previous form to step up and provide an excellent POD.
