<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]This week the Best Buys looks at a lot of the players that are increasing in value, and a few who might be decreasing slightly but are still bringing in the big points. There's a few surprises again in the list, with some players continuing to impress and a few others dropping out of the picture.
<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]The Best Buy this week is none other than Justin Westhoff. Admittedly he isn't as cheap now as he was last week, but he has had another game against good opposition by which to judge him. The Hoff is sitting on top of the SC leader-board this season, and has so far been in incredible form for the coaches brave enough to take the punt early on.

    DEFENSE
    ROOKIES

    Jack HUTCHINS (GCS) DEF 115.9k 83 +78k
    Dean Terlich (MEL) DEF 109.5k 59 +48k
    Jack Frost (COL) DEF 96.2k 56 +48k

    MID-PRICERS

    Dyson HEPPELL (ESS) D/M 471.3k 105
Heppell has been good so far this season, after a worrying start he has come back to the numbers his coaches were expecting from him pre-season, and is now averaging 105 for 2013. A solid pick and while still priced under 500 grand should be a bargain.

Jarryn Geary (StK) DEF 425.7k 102
Geary has so far been great value, averaging over 100 and now priced at just over 400 grand if he can maintain this level of output then the under 7,000 coaches with him in their sides will be sitting pretty. A certain POD his fitness and reliability remain issues.

    PREMIUMS

Pearce Hanley (BRI) DEF 527.8k 128
Pearce had a massive game on the weekend, his 140+ score boosting his average for the season to 128. Hanley looks set to dominate this season, and his current 27,000 selections are sure to double in time.

Grant Birchall (HAW) DEF 532k 119
Birch has shown consistency, given the limited sample size so far this season and put in another great game on the weekend. Now in around 34,000 teams those numbers will steadily increase if his current form continues. He looks to be running a bit more through the middle and kicking the occasional goal as well which will only help his scoring.

    MIDFIELD
    ROOKIES

    Brad Crouch (ADE) MID 115.9k 68 +58k

    MID-PRICERS

Kane Cornes (PTA) MID 547.7k 135
Again Cornes proves me wrong, and again I remain sceptical that he can continue to do so. Currently averaging 135 for the season and still under 550 grand he represents great value for the 5,000 coaches with him currently, but surely can't keep it going for long. If you're looking to take a punt, with the extra trades it may still be worth bringing him in short term for some quick points, but only if you think he can maintain it.

Ben HOWLETT (ESS) MID 494.1k 124
Howlett had the poor game that many thought inevitable, managing only 80 points in a game against a very defensively-minded Freo outfit. Due to his first 2 games his average is still at 124, and will be looking to bounce back this week. In almost 10,000 teams now, still a risky proposition but remains a solid POD.

Travis Boak (PTA) MID 517.1k 122
Boak had a great game in the Derby, topping 130 and taking the Showdown medal. His 3 goals wouldn't have hurt either, but probably can't be expected every week. Averaging over 120 now and in less teams than Howlett (7,000 odd) looks like a great POD choice. If you're leaning this way, get him while he's still cheap.

Chad Wingard (PTA) MID 360.7k 118
Wingard continued his excellent form in the Showdown, managing a very nice 120+ to bring his average to 118. Had a large price rise last week, but is still only 360 grand. If he maintains his average this week then expect him to be closer to 430 grand next week, and has so far been an excellent cash cow. Now in around 16,000 squads.

Nathan FYFE (FRE) MID 523.7k 117
Fyfe has started the season well, averaging 117 and generating a lot of talk about his excellent skills. So far his shoulders look to be still attached, but for some reason Fyfey's shoulders always reminds me of that old story about the girl with the ribbon around her neck who wouldn't ever take it off…

Luke Hodge (HAW) MID 459.5k 113
Hodge came back into calculations for a lot of fantasy coaches in a big way on Sunday, punching out a 122 and being his second game he's now on the bubble. If he can stay fit and really is back to his old form, then his 460k asking price is a steal. Even as somewhat of a cash cow he should make at least 100k before the byes. Only in 5,000 teams or so, but that will change this week.

    Daniel Hannebery (SYD) MID 471.2k 111 +32k
Dan Hannebery has flown under the radar this season, inaround 14,000 teams he is averaging 111 and still well under 500 grand. He looks is great form and is a possible break-out contender. Worth considering as a reasonably safe POD type.

    Aaron MULLETT (NM) MID 346.8k 106 +49k
Mullet has continued to impress, scoring 94 on the weekend and still averaging 105+ he has been great value to date. Still in under 10,000 teams he is a definite POD, but is obviously still relatively risky as this form seems to have come from nowhere.

    PREMIUMS

    Scott Pendlebury (COL) MID 671.8k 135 -12k
Pendles is looking at a price drop of around 10 grand this week, going by his average, but since that average is 135 he still looks decent value. With the Pies playing the Tiges at the G I wouldn't think the savings would be worth waiting a week for.

    Josh P. Kennedy (SYD) MID 647.6k 130 -8k
JPK is also looking at a small price drop this week, but again it really isn't enough to warrant changing any plans over. Averaging a great 130 to date, that kind of form will ensure he remains a top-tier midfielder this season.

    Trent Cotchin (RIC) MID 626k 126 +2k
Cotch has shown why he was such a popular selection pre-season, averaging 126 and often taking a fairly close tag while doing so. The Tiges winning ways have probably helped Cotch's scores, but it's a bit of a chicken and egg deal as his impact has been significant. Great pick, and still relatively cheap.

    Brett Deledio (RIC) MID 624.3k 123 -$600
Lids is just pipped by Cotch to be the highest scoring Tiger so far, and has been a great POD alternative as Cotch is in 3 times as many teams to date. Averaging a great 123 Lids is a star and looks to be continuing his rise in 2013.

    Sam Mitchell (HAW) MID 598.4k 121 -8k
SMitch had a poor game by his standards on the weekend, only managing 89 in what was a one sided affair for near half the game. He will see a minor price drop this week, but can also be expected to bounce back with a good score. Averaging 121 and playing Freo in Tassie we're expecting a big game this weekend.

    Jobe Watson (ESS) MID 634.4k 118 -15k
Jobe had a shocker against Freo, by SC standards anyway, only scoring 67 and destroying the teams that had him as captain, like my AFL Fantasy and Centrebet teams. Watson will need to bounce back in a big way this week, and playing the Sainters should be a solid chance to do so. If you don't have him in already it would probably pay to wait a few weeks for his price drops.

    RUCK
    ROOKIES

    Sam Rowe (CAR) R/F 115.9k 71 +62k
Rowe put in a good game on the weekend, stepping up when Kreuez went off and taking some solid marks up forward. Warnock is the likely replacement for Kreuezer but Rowe may still find himself taking more of the throw-ins. On the bubble this week and DPP, Rowe looks a great pick-up for any teams yet to snag him.

    Callum Sinclair (WCE) R/F 112.2k 61 +50k
Cal Sinclair has performed above a lot of people's expectations so far this season, with a fair few selecting him as a non-playing R/F swingman only to find him on the bubble this week and mooing nicely. With Nicnat still out indefinitely” Sinclair appears to have overtaken Lycett as the number 2 ruckman behind Big Coxy. Another great pick, as there isn't much around rookie-wise in either ruck or forwards currently.

    MID-PRICERS

Matthew Leuenberger (BRI) RUC 301.1k 97
Leuey is looking to be a steal this week, he's now on the bubble and averaging 97, and looking likely to rise by nearly 50 grand this weekend. Great pick-up as either R2 or a cash cow, since he is only 300 grand, he has already made his way into 65,000 teams.

    PREMIUMS

    Dean Cox (WCE) R/F 613.7k 128
Big Coxy has been relishing in his role as number 1 ruckman without Nicnat in the squad, and never more so than against the Dees on the weekend belting out a massive 171. That gave his average a very nice boost to push it to 128 for the season to date, but his DPP surely has to add some more value to that also.

Ben McEvoy (StK) RUC 574.1k 123
McEvoy has so far been the highest averaging ruck-only player this season, and his 123 is certainly a pretty nice average. Priced at under 580 grand he is good value, and if the Saints can start winning a few more he could well maintain this average for the season. In under 10,000 teams still, so a great POD.

Will Minson (WBD) RUC 536k 121
Wilbur didn't excel on the weekend, only managing to score 94, but if that is what his poor games will be like this season then he still looks to be a great selection. Also in under 10,000 teams, he won't be a particularly popular pick at any stage.

Todd Goldstein (NM) RUC 516k 112
Goldy maintained his earlier good efforts with a 110 on the weekend against the Swans, and whilst he hasn't dominated so far he has been quite consistent. A good pick for the near 23,000 coaches with him in their side he seems a much safer option than we would have thought given Currie and Daw are still watching over his shoulder.

    FORWARD
    ROOKIES

All the forward rookies on the bubble this week are also RUCK eligible, and have been listed there.

    MID-PRICERS

    Josh J. Kennedy (WCE) FWD 374.7k 116
JJK continued to show why so many people have him in their squad on the weekend, belting out a 136 and destroying the Demons in the process. He looks to be in for a real break-out year this year, and will likely rise by another 60 grand this week.

    Andrew Walker (CAR) M/F 464.4k 115
Walks bounced back after a somewhat poor effort last week with a ripping 137 in his last match, bringing his average back to a nice 115. He seems to be playing the half-back role again this season and taking the kick-in duties a lot of the time so if this role continues he may be a great selection. Under 470 grand currently, and in around 15,000 teams, he is still a decent risk to get tagged out of matches.

    Angus Monfries (PTA) M/F 410.7k 111
Monfries has continued his excellent form, scoring a nice 120 on the weekend to bring his average to 111. As a mid-priced DPP looking likely to average 110 for the season, joining the near 40,000 coaches with him already might not be a bad idea.

    PREMIUMS

Justin Westhoff (PTA) FWD 500.2k 138
The Hoff continues to be the surprise packet of 2013, smashing out a 150 on the weekend to become the highest scoring player in SC this season to date. Now priced at 500 grand he isn't quite the value he was before, but if he maintains his near 140 average he will most likely rise another 65 grand this week. Excellent pick from the pre-season, now in around 12,000 teams.

    Jimmy Bartel (GEE) M/F 544.5k 117
Abrtel has been good value as a forward this year, he's the 3rd highest scoring forward to date and has shown good touch, but still has worries around his tendency to score large in the last quarter.

Nick Riewoldt (StK) FWD 525.6k 111
Roo has looked good this year, with the Saints small forwards kicking a lot more goals between them he isn't quite the focus of attention he used to be, and has seemed to take advantage of this. A 122 on the weekend helped his average up to 111 for the season, he is still in only around 8,ooo teams and remains a fairly consistent but not generally prolific scorer.

    WAITING LIST

    Sam Mayes (BRI) M/F 164.5k 72*
    Gary Ablett (GCS) MID 718.8k 130 -41k
    Dane Swan (COL) MID 644.6k 110 -38k
    Heath Shaw (COL) DEF 541.3k 76 -44k
    Matthew Pavlich (FRE) FWD 533.9k 72 -42k
    Taylor Walker (ADE) FWD 494.5k 74 -41k
