Luckily though, we have the Best Buys.

The second rookie downgrade option in two weeks to be facing a 100 grand price rise after their 3rd game Mitchell has shone for Sydney, and showed why he has been so highly rated. Along with Mitchell there are some great premiums at very low prices this week, which should help deal with the fact there are not many rookies.

DEFENSE
MID-PRICERS
Jack Hombsch (PTA) DEF 366.2k 107
Hombsch is on the bubble this week, and after averaging a nice 107 for his first two games he's looking at a healthy price rise of over 40 grand. Unfortunately not many coaches have room for mid-pricers at this stage of the season, and the number of Port backmen who have scored well and can't get back into the side mean his job security isn't particularly good. A decent option, but can't see him being a popular one.
Garrick Ibbotson (FRE) DEF 488.5k 104
By now Ibbo has proven to most fantasy coaches that he can play, certainly the 10,000 who have selected him anyway. Ross may still be a doubter, but when he does get games Garrick has the ability to pump out some big scores and priced at under 490 grand he seems well worth a punt for the risk takers out there. Averaging 104 and will probably rise to around the 500 grand mark after his next game.
Grant Birchall (HAW) DEF 415.8k 98
After starting the season on fire, Birch has been tagged out of games to the ridiculous point where he was manhandled and well beaten by GWS. Due to his great start his average is still at a decent 98, but his price of 415 grand is what will be tempting coaches the most. If he figures out how to break a tag, or his teammates figure out how to help him out, he could still be great value. Almost 80,000 coaches have kept the faith with Birch.
MIDFIELD
ROOKIES
Tom Mitchell (SYD) MID 115.9k 107 +110k
The second rookie Tom in two weeks to be the Best Buy, Mitchell looks to be an absolute gun. On the bubble and averaging 107 he has been amazing in his first two matches, and even with Jaeger's great form he looks like an excellent downgrade this week. Should be easily the most popular trade-in this week, and realistically you'd be mad to not try and get him in.
Nathan Hrovat (WBD) MID 114.5k 74 +67k
Hrovat is the same as last time, as he didn't get a game and is still on the bubble. A gun player, but his job security is in doubt and on numbers alone he's 35 points per game behind Mitchell so far.
MID-PRICERS
Joel Selwood (GEE) MID 492.8k 107
Ducky would probably be the Best Buy this week due to his excellent value, if it wasn't for Mitchell being an absolute jet. Priced at under 500 grand but still sitting on a 107 average he is well under-priced and always has the potential to go big. So far he seems to have stayed conscious more often than not this year, and should end the season strongly for his 50,000 teams.
<a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=408&name=Ryan OKeefe">Ryan OKeefe[/url] (SYD) MID 532.4k 106
ROK has been in great form recently, while averaging a decent 106 for the year and priced accordingly it's his 123 average over the last 3 games that demands attention. Sydney will be interesting to watch with Tippett in the side, as the structures may well change to accommodate him, but if ROK can keep up his current form he looks like a great smoky pick for the 5,000 coaches who've grabbed him.
Travis Boak (PTA) MID 481.4k 105
Boak has been pretty good this season, consistently one of Port's better performers his numbers have seemed a bit up and down as he has a habit of kicking multiple goals on weaker oppositions. Offering good value at around 50 grand cheaper than his average reflects only around 10,000 coaches so far have backed him in.
David Mundy (FRE) MID 527.2k 104
Mundy has been in good form recently, averaging 104 for the season but 117 over his last 3. A great player who can be a bit inconsistent, as Freo are generally more intent on stopping their opposition than anything else, he has good potential but hasn't delivered regularly enough for many. With under 15,000 selections so far Mundy offers a nice POD, but will need to score a bit more consistently to make it really worthwhile.
PREMIUMS
Ryan Griffen (WBD) MID 635.7k 124
Griffen is now in around 10,000 teams, which is still barely any, and after his 129 against the Pies is now averaging 147 for his last 3 games. Sound good? The only issue is he's pretty close to his price ceiling, looking likely to rise by another 20 grand this week but from here he really only need two poor games to drop massive dollars. Excellent potential, quite risky price-wise at the moment.
Brett Deledio (RIC) MID 552k 113
Lids is facing a 25 grand price increase this week, and is finally repaying the faith of those who picked him over Cotch this year by taking the lead in the yearly average. Now up to just over 30,000 selections he offers decent value but will still face tags sporadically while teams alternate between him and Cotch.
Kieren Jack (SYD) MID 559.4k 113
Jack is the POD alternative to JPK this season, and with around 10,000 selections so far compared to JPK's nearly 70,000+ and no real difference between their average he's one that has worked out quite well so far. Facing a small price rise this week he is around the mark, but for many JPK and Mitchell probably don't leave much room for Kieren.
Michael BARLOW (FRE) MID 579.6k 112
Barlow has hit a purple patch, more purple than normal for Freo anyway, and is averaging a very healthy 131 over his last 3 matches. A few coaches have jumped on him recently, swelling his total number of selections up to around the 25,000 mark, but he still offers good POD value especially on current form. Probably priced slightly highly for his years average currently, if he keeps hitting 120+ he's looking decent value.
RUCK
MID-PRICERS
Ben McEvoy (StK) RUC 463.9k 102
McEvoy has been in and out of the Best Buys this year, which probably a decent indication he isn't that consistent. Now priced at a bargain basement 465 grand he looks like good value, especially compared to stars of 2013 like Sauce Jacobs. Currently in around 15,000 squads McEvoy is a solid contributor but could still lift his game a fair bit.
Ivan Maric (RIC) RUC 455.3k 97
Maric had a return to 2012 form on the weekend, scoring 120+ and looking once again like the Mullett that so many picked pre-season. Priced at just over 450 grand he offers very nice value if he can keep the 110+ scores coming, but after an injury or two this year he is still on the risky side. Still in around 37,000 sides.
PREMIUMS
Todd Goldstein (NM) RUC 557.3k 114
You're all probably getting as sick of reading about Goldy in here as I am writing about him this season, so this'll be brief. Great tap-work, averaging 114 and decent value.
FORWARD
ROOKIES
Cameron HITCHCOCK (PTA) FWD 128k 41 +20k
Hitchcock hasn't been amazing so far, averaging 41 in his first two games, but he is on the bubble and the only forward line option there this week. Unsure of his job security, he will probably increase by around 20 grand this week so it might pay of waiting another week to look into him further.
MID-PRICERS
Lance Franklin (HAW) FWD 467.2k 92
Buddy is still cheap, and still not living up to expectations. He has improved over the last month or so and is now averaging 92, but again it's his sub 470 grand price tag that is most attractive. Really need to lift and start performing regularly.
PREMIUMS
Brent Harvey (NM) M/F 515.7k 107
Boomer hasn't quite managed to keep the 120+ scores going, but he hasn't dropped off massively yet either. Averaging 107 so far he sits comfortably in the group of leading forwards, but as always his age is a concern for many prospective coaches. Under-priced for his average still, Boomer is also a decent POD in under 20,000 teams.
Dustin MARTIN (RIC) M/F 506.4k 106
Dusty has improved on his efforts to see out a full game, but is still struggling with it from time to time. Averaging a good 106 it's clear to most that when he can start to play out every match he will be SC star, and the 90,000+ coaches that selected him so far are banking on it being sooner rather than later. Good value currently, his price probably won't change much over the coming weeks.
Drew Petrie (NM) FWD 567.9k 101
Droopy had a poor start to the year, but in recent times has come into some good form. Averaging 101 for the season his 12,000 coaches must have been concerned about him but his average of 125 over the last 3 games shows why they picked him to begin with. Over-priced on his overall numbers, Droopy is another player that if he can maintain his current form will be a real bargain.
WAITING LIST
Steve Johnson (GEE) M/F 594.2k 116 -19k
