Ok, so it won’t be definitive but here’s a look at some players to consider who should be on the rise:

    Batters

    Ben Rohrer $48,700 105pts/2games

    Adam Voges $50,000 108pts/2games

    Joe Burns $36,000 101pts/2games

    Luke Pomersbach $48,500 103pts/2games

    Nathan Reardon $36,000 87pts/2games

    Evan Gulbis $36,000 78pts/2 games

Voges has the double-game week, be the only Scorcher you should consider; Burns has probably the best form. Gulbis has his bowling which is his main asset at the moment. Pomersbach is hot/cold so be warned. Others look good if you want a POD.

    All-Rounders

    Aaron O’Brien $52,700 144/2games

The only cheap all-rounder, red hot form at the moment with the ball. You’re most likely to want premiums here though. Hopes is as good a backup as any whilst he’s not injured and keep an eye out for Alfonso Thomas this double-round for Perth.

    Wicketkeepers

    Ryan Carters $36,000 111pts/2 games

    Tim Paine $46,500 98pts/2 games

    Brad Haddin $55,800 71pts/2 games

Carters has been getting points despite the Thunder’s spudding up, have to consider him if you need one. Paine has looked solid and he’s opening the batting. If you don’t have Haddin now with the double game-week coming up you’re going to be left in the nets!

    Bowlers

    Christopher Tremain $32,000 129pts/2 games

    Ben Laughlin $53,000 102pts/2 games

    Michael Hogan $37,000 97pts/2 games

    Ben Cutting $34,000 91pts/2 games

    Nathan Hauritz $38,100 68pts/2games

    Luke Feldman $36,000 60pts/1 game

    Gary Putland $36,000 55pts/2 games

It’s like a buffet here as pacer-bowlers are going out the door as spinners lose their effectiveness. Best bets here are Cutting and Tremain, they’re consistent and going up but don’t discount Hogan and Laughlin if you want them. Hauritz and Putland will also go up in price and Feldman is a cheapie from the Sixers with their double game-week coming up.

If you’re looking for premiums Malinga is tearing it up for the bowlers, Finch is the best batsmen and then Pollard for the all-rounders. I’ll throw this open to others for suggestions!

Scorchers have the double game-week this round but their form is terrible, and then it’s the Sixers next week with their star-studded side. Stars are out of action this week and then the Scorchers the next. If you don't have Voges or want to take a gamble on Thomas I'd focus on bringing in Sixers.

    16 Dec: Sixers v Scorchers

    18 Dec: Heat v Scorchers

    19 Dec: Renegades v Hurricanes

    20 Dec: Thunder v Strikers

What's everyone's thoughts? Hope you're all going well too, Yamum had a huge total it looks like, well done!

I got absolutely reamed this round, Stars’ stars didn’t shine for me – or even play (except Faulkner)! Good call to those who picked Malinga, he must be the “star” of the round.
