I have Big Cox and Mummy in r1 and r2. For cover I have Petrie and Hale swinging off F7 and R3, and a no-name not playing filling in R4. Currently I have Hale filling Petrie's spot in F7 given his recent form and the fact that the hawks will smash port BUT that leaves no cover for the ruck slot. Would you a) leave Hale forward, leaving no ruck emergency and hope Cox plays or b) Put Hale ruck emergency, potentially not scoring with him, and putting Howe in F7, with the 50% potential of disaster that ensues there?
Thanks boys - option A was my gut feeling, and usually I wouldn't worry, but a big duck egg first final always sucks. Going the GAJ as the big C this week.
How sure are we Cox will play? Agree that if he is on the plane it looks as though he will play, but is that all that we are basing this on? I only ask because I want to move the emergency of Vardy and have cover on the rest of the lines instead! I finally bring Cox in last week and he gives me 78 points and a rib injury!
True 82, Worst case scenario option a - Hale 90 Cox 0, versus option b cox plays scores 70 again, Hale gets 90 on the bench and 40 from howe. There could only be 20 points in it. Best case scenario option a - Hale 100, Cox 120+, option b - Cox 120+, Howe 60 odd. I dunno.
Having a ruck emergency is not something that would generally happen IMO but I think if you can sure up another line this week might be the week to have an 'E' on a R3 if possible.
