Bit of a fun topic amongst all the seriousness that is Supercoach and injuries, was reading up and found this article about the Sydney reserves: http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7106/newsid/134990/default.aspx He hasn't been seen in AFL for a little while, but my nomination for biggest downhill skier goes to... Mitch Morton
If you posted this last week, many would've said Stevie J, but he was just downhilling to the ski jump.
<blockquote>Quote from The_General on May 8, 2012, 09:02 A tie between Ryan Griffen and Stephen Hill. Dal Santo also gets a special mention.</blockquote> Um... What? Do you know what downhill skiing means?

Ryan Griffen (draft pick no. 3): 80 v Saints 93 v Geelong 93 v Hawks 95 v Carlton 97 v Sydney Dal (draft pick no. 13): 68 v Hawks 84 v Carlton 92 v Sydney Stephen Hill (draft pick no. 3): 63 v Doggies 65 v Sydney 65 v Collingwood 66 v Hawks 67 v Saints All teams that have been good for extended periods of these players' careers. Dal probably borderline, but I still feel when the going gets tough (tag) he goes to water (Matthew Hayden on a seeming english wicket springs to mind). No point looking at sh!t players like Morton and the like, their shIt!

Also Griffen's career average for sc is 85.2, which would put his scores against those teams (except the saints) above average?
Stanton is your typical downhill skier. Flat track bully who can't handle a tag. Pay close attention to him this week when Scooter Selwood goes to him. Port also has plenty of them - Pearce, Salopek and so on. Definition of a downhill skier is someone who is nowhere to be seen when the team is struggling but also looks the goods when your team is winning.
