Is there an issue with breakevens in the stats ?
Take Buddy for example, SC Gold has him at 93 this week, TooSerious has him at 119

Walesy gives a far better explanation than I'm capable of, but I believe it hassomething to do with a fixed figure for total player salaries and theimpact that increases in rookie salaries have on other player's salaries. Apparently the SCGold BE's don't account for this, but Walesy does. :)

I think the lesson, as always, is stop wasting your time and money on SC Gold.

The difference between TS breakeven and SC Gold breakeven is that TS is better and correct. What SC Gold fails to account for in their BE scoring is the 10% factor that affects all non-rookie players at this stage of the season. I'll try to explain. A non-rookie player had a starting salary of say $500k which is based on their 2012 average. To maintain their 2013 starting salary, the player would have to score 10% better than their 2012 average. If they hold their 2012 average over the first 3 rounds of 2013, they will lose value. An example of this is Macaffer, who has played two games only in 2013 and thus has not yet changed salary. His SC Gold BE is listed as -29 whereas his TS BE is listed as -26. The difference is exactly due to the 10% effect that I have described above. EDIT: the 10% effect is an adjustment that VS implement so that the Total Player Payments across the entire competition (i.e. the combined salary of every player) remains constant. The 10% taken from the pre-existing players is used to 'create' value to allow the rookie players to rise in price.

That's probably the best explanation of this I have seen around J-Dog. Just goes to prove that TS is the best source of info for anything to do with SC!!!

Thanks for the info guys, that'sa pretty big screw up really.. I think I'll hold off upgrading to Buddy for one more week. His history against Freo isn't great... 93 was touch and go, 119 I'll let it ride.
@Tommy18: SC Gold is free with the Herald Sun digital pass. I wouldn't have touched it otherwise.

I have SC / DT Gold BUT i take Too Serious far more serious than SC / DT Goldre : BE . Too Serious is way more accurate , if TS is out its only minor compared to Gold . When i am looking to trade i have both Too Serious and Gold going at the same time in SC and DT .
