I was thinking about how last year the vast majority of teams who came off a bye suffered a loss, and in many cases a loss to an inferior team.

With that in mind, I'm thinking that for round 12 the following options could be worth keeping a strong eye on the odds:

    St Kilda to beat Adelaide
    Carlton to beat WC
    Port to beat Bulldogs

    Excellent observation!
& a word of warning to anyone following the days rest advantage,
thinking if a little extra is good, more must be better,
it doesn't apply to bye rounds.
8 days rest has an advantage over 6 days rest,
but 14 days rest has no advantage against 7 days rest, going off the stats.
In fact it works in reverse, once a team get's over 12 days rest,
over 70% of them lose their next game, going off last 3 years.
That said, I still find it hard to see saints beating crows or blues beating eagles.

Same, but I would have found it hard to see Melbourne beat Essendon or Brisbane beat West Coast...it's been a crazy year!
