Rd 16 2009: 124 SuperCoach points, 40 disposals
Rd 6 2009: 91 SuperCoach points, 25 disposals
Rd 19 2008: 84 SuperCoach points, 22 disposals
Rd 3 2008: 115 SuperCoach points, 29 disposals
Rd 3 2007: 130 SuperCoach points, 30 disposals

Average is 114 SuperCoach points with 30 disposals.

Note: Not a huge average against the Dees but two very solid recent scores against them. Melbourne struggling at the moment. In great form recently averaging 139 over his past three games (145, 134, 138).

Pendlebury v. Fremantle

Rd 8 2010: 107 SuperCoach points, 27 disposals
Rd 22 2008: 91 SuperCoach points, 24 disposals
Rd 1 2008: 81 SuperCoach points, 15 disposals
Rd 10 2007: 99 SuperCoach points, 21 disposals

Average is 95 SuperCoach points with 22 disposals.

Note: Poor record against the Dockers. Risk of being rested against the injury savaged Dockers if the game is in hand. Is he showing signs of tiredness with his two most recent scores this season of 108 and 102?? Prior to that had averaged 144 over five games (133, 160, 123, 145, 160).

Swan v. Fremantle

Note: Three big scores over 130 and then two poor scores under 90. Has recently said he is feeling great after his trip to Arizona. In fantastic recent form with 132, 156, 136 and 176 in his four most recent games at an average of 150.

Dal Santo v. North Melbourne

Note: Has scored big a couple of times against the Roos. Has also had an absolute shocker in Rd 21 2009 when he was tagged by Greenwood and only touched the ball 9 times. Has had two quiet weeks recently with 97 and 100 (which followed games of (133, 189, 158, 107, 174, 139, 134).

Note: Fantastic record against the Roos. Only one poor score back in Rd 11 2009. Take out that score and his average jumps to 135. A bit up and down recently with 122, 87 and 100.

Note: Terrible game in Rd 1 2010 when it looked like he was lacking match fitness. Take out that score and his average jumps to 143 SuperCoach points. There are question marks over his fitness at the moment and his recent scores have been 107, 124 and 78. Prior to that he did have scores of 213, 149 and 137.

Sandilands v. Collingwood

Rd 8 2010: 150 SuperCoach points, 25 disposals, 43 hitouts
Rd 13 2009: 137 SuperCoach points, 25 disposals, 44 hitouts
Rd 22 2008: 52 SuperCoach points, 9 disposals, 20 hitouts

Note: Two great recent scores against the Pies but three shocking games prior. Has managed 109 and 94 in his two games back from injury.

Rd 13 2007: 69 SuperCoach points, 19 disposals

Average is 91 SuperCoach points with 25 disposals.

Note: Poor record against the Swans. Only one big score back in 2009. Had a bye this week but a poor 87 in the game prior to that. He did, however, produce scores of 145, 155, 126 prior to that.



My opinion: Out of the names mentioned above, the stats (both current form and historical form against an opponent) seem to favour Swan. The usual suspect, Ablett and Cox also seem very safe options as do Goddard and Dal Santo.

In my opinion, it is a very close call between Swan and Ablett. Both are playing opponents who are really struggling.

I would pick, in order: Swan, Ablett, Cox , Dal Santo, Selwood and then Pendlebury.
