That is the question. Firstly, should we include him in our starting lineups at the hefty price of $740,500? Or do we wait until his inevitable price drop and pick him up then? Secondly, do we have him as Captain or do we roll the dice on one of our other gun players?

This was, of course, his second season with the Suns after averaging only&amp;rdquo; 127 SC points in 2011. I say only&amp;rdquo; because we have probably forgetten his averages of 130 SC points in 2010 and 140 SC points in 2009. Next best were the Collingwood triplet who were some distance behind him: Swan with 126 SC points, Pendlebury with 125 SC points and Beams with 123 SC points.

Ablett has to be in your team and he has to be made Captain most weeks. I say most weeks because other factors I consider in picking a Captain are: recent form, form against an opponent, and whether the particular player is likely to be on a winning team. The exception to the winning team&amp;rdquo; factor, obviously, is Ablett himself. In my posts each week, I try to include statistics showing the recent form and form against the opposing teams. For Round 1, however, all I have in terms of statistics is the pre-season (which can be deceiving) and the 2011 statistics which I have briefly summarised above.

If we are unhappy with their score, we can simply select our captain from anyone left in our team who hasn't yet played in Round 1. If, however, we are happy with the score from our nominated vice-captain, we put the captaincy onto a non-playing player for the round. As this captain&amp;rdquo; does not play and accumulate any points, the vice-captain will become the captain for the round.
