<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Average is 136 SC points with 32 disposals.
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Note: Huge numbers against Essendon. Tagged by both Hocking and Howlett in the game last year and still scored 182. Low score of 95 in 2011 when he was tagged by Hocking and Essendon smashed the Suns 197 to 58. The other sub 100 game was in Round 12 2010 when he picked up a lot of disposals in garbage time in a 154 to 83 victory after being tagged by Welsh. Played head to head with Stanton in 2009 resulting in 150 SC points and was not tagged in 2008 resulting in 148 SC points. Huge score of 153 against North Melbourne last week. He is in great recent form with scores of 126, 149, 152, 137 and 160 (average of 142 from seven games).

<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Note: Good record against the Suns. He is coming off a poor game last week where he was limited to only 79 SC points against Carlton (tagged by Cachia). Was poor in the week prior to that with only 73 against Sydney.

<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Note: Best on ground in the game last year when he scored 145 playing head to head against Griffen. Great recent record against the Bulldogs averaging 135 in his past four games against them. Was tagged by Picken in Round 1 in 2010 and limited to only 91 (Picken has tagged Thomas or Wellingham or Didak in other games). Consistent and solid scores of 132, 119, 119 and 118 most recently (average of 122).

<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Average is 116 SC points with 27 disposals.
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Note: Most recently tagged by Picken in Round 6 last year. Most of his other games he has played head to head against Boyd. Has returned to form in the past couple of weeks with scores of 148 and 131 which had followed a lean stretch of 67, 84 and 94.

<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Franklin v. Carlton
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Rd 14 2012: 130 SC points, 23 disposals, 4 goals 2 behinds

<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Rd 22 2008: 86 SC points, 14 disposals, 4 goals 5 behinds
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Rd 19 2006: 116 SC points, 11 disposals, 6 goals 2 behinds
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Average is 106 SC points with 15 disposals and 4 goals.
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Note: Good recent record against Carlton. Averages 122 in his past three games against them. Most recently manned by Jamieson. He is coming off a bye but had only managed scores of 81 and 98 in the two weeks prior.
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]My opinion: Port Adelaide play Greater Western Sydney this week. Cornes is leading the averages at Port Adelaide with 115 SC points a game. He is followed by Boak with 103 and Westhoff with 102. Port Adelaide, however, have slowed after their fast start to the season. Cornes averaged 142 in his first four games of the season (but only 97 in the six games since). Similarly, Westhoff averaged 141 in his first four games (but only a terrible 76 in the six games since - with only one score over 100). These recent averages are worrying and, accordingly, I wouldn't pick a Port Adelaide player as captain this week.
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]The numbers above show that the clear choice has to be Ablett. He is in terrific recent form and he has also shown the ability to play well against Essendon's best taggers. After Ablett, I would pick Watson who is bound to find plenty of the ball and play himself into a bit of form. I would then pick Pendlebury and Swan.
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm;]Good luck all!
