Average is 95 SC points with 17 disposals and 3 and a half goals a game.
Note: Has generally struggled against the Bulldogs due to Brian Lake (who, of course, is now his team mate). Most recently manned by Markovic. One huge score back in Round 21 in 2007 which would have been a lot bigger if he had kicked straight. Missed last week with an injury but had scored 61, 100, 97, 124 and 81 (average of 93) in the five weeks prior.
My opinion: Friday night's game is between North Melbourne and Carlton. It is difficult to utilise the loophole with a player from these teams. The game should be close and there are no standout performers. Goldstein leads the averages for North with 112 and has only scored below 100 in four games this season (and coming off a score of 85 on the weekend against the Lions). However, he will play against Kreuzer who is in good form at the moment with scores of 107, 136, 111 and 111 (average of 116). Harvey and Swallow both average 105 for the season. Walker leads the averages for Carlton with 107 but he is coming off scores of 91, 108, 75 and 92 (average of 92). He is followed by Judd with an average of 102 (coming off scores of 137, 96, and 104 (average of 112).
Melbourne play at home” at TIO Stadium against Brisbane whilst Greater Western Sydney host Essendon. Brisbane and Essendon should win these games easily but, again, it is difficult to pick a standout player from either of these teams. In their matchup last season, Howlett and Ryder top scored for Essendon against the Giants with 124 SC points each. With Watson still missing with injury, it is hard to pick which Bomber will step up.
Difficult choice this week. It really is a toss of the coin between Ablett and Pendlebury. In my opinion, I would pick Pendlebury who is in unbelievable form. Ablett's form has been below par in the past two weeks and he will likely be tagged by an improved Macaffer this week.
Next, I would pick Swan who should continue to accumulate possessions and score big against Gold Coast.
The choice becomes extremely difficult after this. I would pick Selwood against a Dangerfield-less Adelaide team. Finally I would pick Griffen who should find plenty of the ball on the small Aurora Stadium ground.
Good luck all!
