My opinion: Franklin has pulled out of the game against St Kilda. Normally we would look for a player on the Friday night game (this week St Kilda v. Hawthorn) to see if we can utilise the captain's loophole. Without Franklin playing (who has scored 131, 122 and 88 with five goals in each of these past three matchups), I could not really pick any other player with any confidence.
The numbers point to a clear number one. On history, Ablett's record against Melbourne is solid. His recent form is a little below par at the moment but in another game that the Suns should win, Ablett should figure prominently.
Following Ablett, I would pick Pendlebury, then Selwood, then Barlow and then Steve Johnson.
Good luck all!
