Have touched on this in another thread, but might be best to lay it down here for discussion. My understanding is that walesy has been tinkering with a formula (based on DT) for live SC scores on the match day chat page. It seems this is still some way off perfection, but is something worth pursuing for the long term. I also observe from the chat that a very small circle of generous people regularly post qtr time SC scores. What I would like to throw out there is, would it be beyond the bounds for someone who has access to SC Gold and access to the TS wine cellar to simply enter the scores into the column already provided, beside each players name, each qtr? This would also enable ORFFL/ORFFA coaches to more easily monitor progress with their matches. Second one is; almost every game I see people asking for a streaming link. Those good enough to provide this are, at times, becoming a little cheesed that people don't remember to bookmark this stuff. Thought is, under the menu listing the games at the top, there be a little input box under each game where those watching (preferably MOD-types) can simply post the link for anyone to use? My inclination would also be that people have to remember the passwords themselves (so far I have only encountered two), or perhaps someone can suggest an easier way to do this. Third; walesy is a busy man, so may not have time to deal with this. It could wait for off-season upgrades that seem to be done every year. In the meantime, perhaps some discussion/ideas?
Potential problems: 1) TS don't own publishing rights to CD Player Rankings. Not sure if FF does, but if they don't, there probably wouldn't be anything stopping TS from posting QbyQ scores, aside from the usual threats from lawyers and interested parties. If FF do have publishing rights to the above, the ground is a bit shakier for TS doing the same. 2) Better off running a script to do this, rather than having one (or several), inputing the scores in manually. 3) The thing with links is they're not technically legal, so the last thing I'd be doing is advertising it on this site in public view. And that's why regulars get annoyed, because there's no discretion on the part of the askee most times, and it's usually those same people who ask repeatedly. I tell ya, if I was selling something that wasn't technically legal, and someone asked in public, very loudly, if they could purchase said item, and then had the gall to say "Oh, I forgot I was supposed to bring money for said transaction", I'd deal with them far more curtly than I do on here.
Very helpful thank you Mr. Hornsy. I guess the good thing about using chat script is that there is no evidence left behind. Seems slightly strange that DT data is fine, but SC is not.

I'll leave you to read between the lines on that one. And there's always evidence left behind. It's just a slightly more intensive process on chat.
