I am wondering what peoples thoughts are re Chris Newman.

I am seriously considering him at D5. I like the late bye option with the Tiges and having a few of them could help with avoiding donuts during the earlier multi bye rounds.

And while were at it . Lets see what thoughts are re Connors too.

I looked at Newman and moved on pretty quickly. He just doesn't seem to have any upside that I can find in terms of his SC output for this year. I don't really want a player that I'm not convinced can go up in value, unless that player is already an elite (Goddard, Sandi, etc.).

The year to be on Connors in SC was 2010, not 2011. Again, no real upside to speak of in terms of potential SC output.

Ive had Newman in and out about 20 times already. Wasn't really thinking much upside just holding his average.

Never really looked at Connors seriously.

The late bye adds a layer of attraction. Which I guess is pushing me towards players in all lines that I would probably prefer to takes others ahead of.

After much deliberation I have Connors in my squad- I love the way he reads the play. Just hope he doesn't thump anyone. He could be a useful unique imo.

Newman is a POD I agree the main aim for him is to hold his value. A 90 keeper.
The other option is to avoid two byes and trade to Bock Choi if he's looking good at R10 or so.

Still working out if that's a decent tactic to roll with.

If not I wouldn't have him.

    Connors - not for me.

I have Connors. Had him last year and he is currently in my side this year as D5!

Also love the way he reads the play and i think his scores will be between 80-120 this year.
