Daniel Cross (78), any reason for his low score? Just a bad day?

D.Cross - 78pts

KI - 9
HA - 13
MA - 5
TA - 5
FK - 0
FA - 2
HI - 1
GL - 0
BH - 0

Did he get a bad knock? Does he have a niggling injury? Fighting with the Mrs? He didn't kick a black cat on the way to the way to the game did he?

Anyone got any ideas?

Hope you're right. Cross, Reiwoldt, and Goodes turned what was looking like a 2400+ into a 2279.

think from memory Cross is a bit of a pendulum player, ie. 78 one week 150 the next. Well thats what I'm hoping for next week.

Well sometimes great players have off days. It was his off day against the Bombers. From memory he was Mr. Consistent, one you could rely on to guarantee you 100

No if you go on last years stats, I don't think Cross can be called a Pendulum player.

D.Cross 2010

R01 - 135
R02 - 127
R03 - 112
R04 - 70
R05 - 94
R06 - 109
R07 - 122
R08 - 129
R09 - 87
R10 - 99
R11 - 144
R12 - 104
R13 - 136
R14 - 119
R15 - 83
R16 - 138
R17 - 111
R18 - 126
R19 - 105
R20 - 130
R21 - 106
R22 - 121

# Games played = 22
# Games scoring (+100) = 17
# Games scoring (90-100) = 2
# Games scoring (80-90) = 2
# Games scoring (-80) = 1
______________________________________________

With D.Cross's value and average I consider:

Scores of less than (80) is a failure.

Scores between (80) and (90) are below average.

Scores between (90) and (100) are slightly below average.

Scores over (100) are good.
______________________________________________
The 17 good scores (+100), make the 2 below average scores between (90)-(100) look ok.

The other 3 games can be called failures.
______________________________________________

Summing up;

D.Cross - 2010

# Games played = 22
# Good/Solid Games = 19
# Failures = 3

Based on those numbers I don't think he's a pendulum player

Callan Ward back in the side spread the available SC points a little differently through the Bulldogs midfield on the weekend. But overall the midfield was trounced, although Ward was probably the pick of a bad lot for mine.

at the start of the game cross and griffin collided and griffin went off the ground (im 99 % sure ) , im not sure if that was enough to put cross of his game? or if he actually hurt himself at all ?

It was a bad day for the Doggies all around.

They got thumped on the scoreboard and the Bombers had the ball for the majority of the game.

Only two players for the Dogs scored over 100, and those were 2 scores of 101 - they didn't get much in the way of points as a team.

Cross scored similarly to the other midfielders that he usually does - Boyd and Cooney. Cross had 22 disposals for 78SC, Boyd 24 for 74 and Cooney 20 for 77.

Not a bad day from him, simply for the team as a whole. They will improve once Lake and Gilbee get back on the park and start providing some run from half back.
