Now back to the footy - Its been a lot of fun over these last few weeks sorting out this team, and we have started alright. UCantBeTooSerious is the name of the team. We scored 2295 in round 1, for a ranking of 7,928th ... not as good as a lot of others here, but not too shabby - especially considering the way in which this team was chosen. And, although we are aiming for best OA finish, I should point out that we won all 5 league games!!

Over the break, I will introduce the members of the team. But first - just a reminder on what this team is all about:

Basically this team has been entirely set up, and will be managed, jointly by the donors of Too Serious.

For those that dont know - after you make a donation to this site, you get some added benefits such as (among others)  the ability to change the number of rows on a page, and the Donor Forum.

In the Donor Forum, we have been busy selecting structures and players for this team, along with the name, emergencies and captain. All trades etc throughout the year will also be chosen by joint decisions. It is not an ideal way to run a team, and therefore we do not know what to expect from it, but it will surely be a lot of fun, and interesting at the very least.

If you want to get involved, but have not donated yet - you can easily do so <a href="http://tooserious.net/donate.php" target="_blank">HERE[/url]!!

    Now, without further ado....

    <!--more-->

Our round 1 team: (name, round score, watchlist votes*)

    * Any donors that wished too, submitted a watchlist of the players they thought should be in the team. There were 22 watchlists created, and I have included the votes each player received here. We then had discussions about any changes that were neccesary and made some final decisions by voting in polls.

    Defenders:

    Gibbs (vc), 138 (VC up to 276), 21; Goddard, 119, 22; Lower, 110, 9; Broughton, 98, 15; Grimes, 83, 15; Otten, 67, 17; Toy (c), 0, 8; (Duigan (em), 59 (counted), 16; Heppell, 90(bench), 18; Hibberd, 0, 15).

    Midfielders:

    Swan, 166, 20; Pendlebury, 120, 11; Pavlich, 95, 8; Deledio, 92, 22; Bewick, 51, 5; Selwood, 24, 11; (Irons (em), 68(bench), 4; DSwallow, 0, 18; Harris, 0, 19).

    Rucks:

    Cox, 165, 18; Sandilands, 137, 19; (ZSmith, 0, 15; Keefe, 0, 8).

    Forwards:

    Rioli, 117, 14; Tapscott, 113, 4; Krakouer, 102, 16; NReiwoldt, 86, 22; Darling, 80, 8; Franklin, 72, 18; Goodes, 63, 11; (Richardson (em), 69(bench), 17; Prestia, 0, 5; Matera, 0, 17).

There we have it. So Lids, BJ and Roo were the only players to make all 22 watchlists. Tapscott and Irons were the least popluar players to make the final side - both late inclusions after discussions. Higgins and Puopolo (9 lists each) were the most popular players not to make it - Higgins due to structure, PooPoo due to discussion and a vote. And the most popular premiums not to make it were Chapman (8 votes) and Judd (7 votes).

Our decision of a 130 pass mark for our VC turned out not ideal, as did Heppell sitting on the pine with a 90. That vote of Heppell or Otten on field was extremely close with the decider coming in about 15 min before lockout after I put out a shoutout that it was all tied up. One other vote was extremely close - Prestia beating McKernan into the side by 1 vote - and we will have to wait and see how that pans out.

As soon as this post goes up, I will get the polls and discussions started about our decisions for this week.

What do you all think so far?
